idk about that. $25 each for 2-hour pixel platformer? I love the Halloween movies, this game looks awesome to me, and I buy a lot of games so I'm an easy mark and I just can't pull the trigger at this price. No wonder it has been out for 2 weeks and only has 60 reviews. The price just doesn't make sense.

All of the people complaining about the price on the Evil Dead and Halloween game need to get a damn job. When even games in the $20 to $40 price range are too expensive, you need to find a different hobby than video games. I was paying more than $70 for some games in the 90's. If adjusted for inflation that would be about $145. Sheesh. These games are far cheaper than many of the so called "free to play" games and cash shop centric games on the market today.
@jjlatinopediaАй бұрын
Exactly. Dragon Ball Z Deluxe Edition is currently $108. These brokies need a job.
@urbs1177Ай бұрын
Exactly. 59.99 I paid for the PS5 physical copy and I'm enjoying it. Plus you get Kelly and Laurie with the purchase and have two more characters to play the game with.
@morbidhandle13xАй бұрын
We do have jobs. I make plenty of money and I could easily afford these games, but a 2-hour derivative pixel platformer for $25 is just not reasonable. I'd feel like a sucker. I'm not even very responsible with money (because I make so much money at my job). I bought a mechanical pencil for almost $25 a few weeks ago and I think I'd feel like an absolute moron paying full price for this game. It would make me sick. It's not about the money, it's about self-respect. But if you think being employed means you should buy every game out there because you once bought Turok for $145 at Funco Land, maybe the self-respect angle is lost on you.
@davidaitken8503Ай бұрын
@@morbidhandle13xIn keeping with the spirit of Halloween, you're digging yourself a really deep hole for your grave here. Devaluing games based on game length and the use of 2D pixel art have been the two stupidest takes circulating on the internet for the past decade or so. While I don't know if I'll be getting these particular games as their gameplay does look a little too generic, the fact that they are 2D and aren't loaded up with 95% filler to pad out the time it takes to complete them shouldn't be held against them. If they have fun gameplay you'll want to play through them over and over again. They certainly look like better games than most of the big budget, AAA shovelware that has been coming out this generation. If they charged $70, I would pay that much for any of Tengo Projects re-imaginings of games like Shadow of the Ninja and think it was money better spent than the type of casual, dumbed down AAA junk guys like you probably play. I know you think that QT sequences in Sony's Spider Man games or the maps dotted with a million and one bits of pointless fluff in an Assassin's Creed game are representative of the best that gaming has to offer, but you're a clueless fool.

I think a lot of people will be waiting for a sale. Indie publishers need to think very carefully about their pricing, or risk sinking games before they get a chance. I really enjoyed the package, but I do agree that £40 is not an impulse buy!

@@sanctanox Absolutely. And the developers/publishers probably don't help themselves with the title - who is searching for 'RetroRealms'? They've got two of the main poster boys of horror in Ash and Myers, but you can't always find the games easily in searches and the thumbnail art is uninspiring to say the least. And then you have the price. It's a real shame, as you say, especially when an indie launch window is so crucial.

Nice video but maybe the video should have been titled "retro-themed"? I was expecting actual retro horror games.
