Regardless , using UCL wins to soley judge a players quality is stupid your comment shows your naivete about football .It is similar to holding Messi solely responsible for not winning any trophies with Argentina. But please let me provide a little historical context, Zidane was unlucky at Juventus driving them to 2 UCL finals and at Real Madrid to the UCL in his first season . The team collapsed with the firing of Del Bosque,selling of Makalele and Hierro after the UCL win and well as replacing coaches by Perez almost every year which led to the teams imbalance. In fact signing of Ronaldo and Beckham coincided with Real Madrid's dowturn, then I guess by your logic Ronaldo and Becckahm were not great players You probably never watched football at the time and only relying on UCL stats when in actuality Zidane other performance for France and Real Madrid were outstanding indicates you know nothing about the game.Using UCL wins solely to judge a player is laughable.

Do not want to be a snob but you are missing some of the most amazing and sort of "typical-of-Zidane" goals. He scored 2 long bombs in same manner: one during his first game for France against Czech Rep. He controls the ball coming from his right, gives more speed to the ball somehow and hits the ball with his left foot with an outward trajectory. He scored a similar one with Real. I find these amazing as the ball actually accelerates as it passes through him. There are also the 2 similar goals, from his right foot, reduced angle, first post top corner; against Romania and later Italy. There is a first post goal against Kahn from his left foot as well and obviously, the goal against Norway.
