Dude. You’re so young. “In grade school in 2006”….that was the year I got hit by a train and paralyzed. Was far beyond grade school. But I do remember when they changed Pluto’s classification as a planet to a dwarf planet. Tossed everything we had learned about Pluto as a planet right out the window. But things change I guess, it’s part of life. So cool to see that all these planetary alignments are happening this year.

Uranus makes a complete orbit around the Sun (a year in Uranian time) in about 84 Earth years (30,687 Earth days) I’d say that’s pretty rare. The last time was 1941 around Earth

Great showing of planets visually but it would have been better if you'd have put the moon on there to see exactly what we could be looking at and give us a guide to look at in the sky. Using the moon and sun for your view point since we can see it would help us dial it all in.

Speaking of heavenly bodies. Let's change the stars! What I mean is, get the IAU to, OFFICIALLY, make a new constellation. Figure it's time to put something up there relevant to us, don't you think? My idea for changing the stars is called, "Mickey," I mean, "THE ALL-STAR," and includes Orion, Taurus and Pleiades (Subaru). Ok, start at Orion's belt and "Betelgeuse" becomes the head with a baseball hat. The 3 stars of Orion's belt make up the 3 fat belt loops on a baseball uniform. Below the belt are two legs bending at the knee. "Saiph" is the back foot and "Rigel" is the front foot. The spear pointing at "Subaru/Pleiades" is the bat and "Subaru/Pleiades" is the baseball flying away after being hit. "Bellatrix" is the hand that let go and "Aldebaran" of Taurus is the bat's tip. Put it all together and you get, "THE ALL-STAR." In my case, I see a left-handed batter with a, "7," on the jersey. Which makes him, "Mickey." (As it should be) But it can be a righty or lefty with any number you want. Making, "THE ALL-STAR," any player you want and a perfect fit in our night sky. Pass it on, please and thank you. Don't worry, where I come from, crazy is a compliment. ;-P

Nope. It's got demoted for a plethora of reasons. Mainly, its orbit is drastically different from the disc the inner planets rotate upon (it actually moreso resemble ls the orbit of a comet than a planet). But for me, Pluto's "Barycenter" is outside of the planet itself, this irreversibly bumps it from being a planet. Meaning, the gravitional center between Charon and Pluto is outside both objects. They spin around an invisible point between them in space. Whereas, the Earth and Moon have a Barycenter but it's well within the Earth itself. No other planet has a Barycenter outside the planetary body. Lastly, objects within Keiper belt have been found roughly the size of Pluto. So, do we keep adding these objects, or redefine what it means to be a planet? I think it is great that science is willing to adapt and adjust as new information is added and discovered. To me, it's as it should be. Personal feelings towards how things are should not determine what actually is.
