I started fishing again last year after not doing it since I was a kid. Tried liquidised bread and punch on the hook for the first time a few weeks ago on my local lake, caught a ton of roach and Rudd plus 4 bonus carp, one mirror about 9lbs on a 6mm bread punch! Looking forward to trying this method to get the liquidised bread much finer, thanks mate!

Sounds like you had a great session, very well done. If there are that many fish feeding it may not be necessary to do it too fine, it certainly didn't stop them feeding on your last session, so it seems that was correct for that day. The reason for doing it finer, particularly in winter for smaller fish, is not to feed them too much food that may fill them up quickly.

@@eastcoastangler7058 Ah I see, thanks for the info, much appreciated! To be fair, that session was epic, the best I’ve had this year! I’m happy catching anything swimming to be honest, the carp were a welcome surprise as I rarely catch them.

Great video! Thankyou...one question..is it ever worthwhile adding a bit of something extra? I've heard of people using strawberry angel delight or icing sugar to add to the mix

Personally, I never do. I have seen anglers try different additves and colourings, but never seen it produce any better results. Fishing ,to me, is a lot about confidence in the baits you use, this way you tend to stick with that method and give it time to work rathher than chopping and changing too quickly. If using an additive gives you confidence by all means try it.

Hi pal great and easy video to follow well explained. One question what fish is that for attracting . Is it the likes of roach, rudd, or could I use it on its own or will I need to add other things.
@eastcoastangler7058 Жыл бұрын
It is mostly for silverfish as you describe, I mainly use it in winter. Personally I never use additives, but if it gives you more confidence try a few. There seems a few for sale on the commercial market using spices.

I don't own a blender, I have no intention of buying one either, I was hoping to see what to do with dry fine white crumb i bought from my local tackle shop, I have had a go with it, sparingly damping it, mixed by hand for quite awhile, sieving it threw a pinkies riddle got me very little, forcing through the riddle basiclly buggered it, am no further on and no, I am pushing 80, been an angler for 60 years, thought bread might be a cheap way to go to me keep fishing.

Would you mix this 50/50 with something like frenzied hemp for river roach?
@eastcoastangler70583 жыл бұрын
Personally I have never tried it, not to saying that is right or wrong. With punch crumb I am trying to make it break down as I want it to, sometimes adding things may "clog" it or it make break down quicker, this is why I add gravel (inert material) to add weight and make it break up nearer the bottom in deeper swims. I do feed hemp as a seed, but do not usually add it to the crumb. Fishing is a lot about what you have confidence in, "if it works for you stick with it".

Does it make a difference what type of bread I use? white, brown , wheat, etc.

White medium sliced is all i use. I did show this on the loaf I used, but did not mention it, good question and thanks for asking.

Will mole hill soil work mixing with it to get down to deeper swims ?
@eastcoastangler70584 жыл бұрын
Personally I have never tried it or heard of anyone else trying it, but that is not to say it wouldn't work. I try to make the bread break up to create a specific effect, this may change throughout a session. By adding molehill soil I would be wary of it clogging this process and not allowing the bread to bread up as I wanted. But by all means give it a go, it may work better on certain days than just bread.

Punch crumb is a separate product to liquidised bread. You have to mix punch crumb with water to dampen it.
