Hi Matt. I was thinking couldn't be a good solution (fix to battery failing off) to use some sort of sleeves that holds the battery. (My first thought was to use tape or something similar)

I guess I could just duct tape it on. It would certainly hold and solve the problem. I'd lose the ability to have a removable battery at that point but there's really not much value in that anyway, so good idea.

Hi Matt Is the lid easy to clean?

Yes. I never had any issue with cleaning the lid. I had another battery fail on mine so I've stopped using it. I used it for awhile as just a heated mug with the base but ended up just getting another Ember. I'm on the market for another heated travel mug now.
