Chainsaw is great with dealing pinkys I was playing Legacy of Rust (Doom new expansion) and I was struggling without chainsaw

​@Hex_Scythe_takanashi best way to deal with turbo pinkies is super shotgun or berserk punch and always mind the distance you have to move There are glitches to make them faster or slower through loading and new games instant kill pinky from across map or so slow that they move an inch a minute

I admit that for the longest time, I didn't cared much for Chex Quest. Until in recent months, where thanks to a combination of having Chexter playable in Samsara mod and listening to the soundtrack (which is kinda pleasant and catchy), it has grown on me. Still not exactly up there for me like Strife or modded Doom, but it's quaint enough to acknowledge and keep in my game collection.

Me too right now. I used to not look for secrets, if I missed some of them that's ok. But at some point I realized I didn't even know all secrets from the original WADs and replayed them to find everything. Since then, even if I play user WADs, I MUST find all the secrets before finishing a level. To help myself I end up setting up certain map color options to show trigger lines, if I fail after several minutes I'll end up revealing map with color map option to show hidden secrets, if I don't know how to trigger it I open DoomBuilder to check it (but good like if it's scripted event that doesn't show). And sometimes I will check some youtubers like pabg666 if they 've played it and have the timestamps.

Chex quests "problem" can be easily fixed by playing with gore mods and setting the gibbing threshold to minimum so they dont "zorch" away.

As a side note, apparently the HD version of Chex quest is apparently inferior, IE there is no auto spork so you can't spork your enemies... Actually I dont think there is even a melee option at all.

1:20 I've been called out big time. I actually resented the Unity ports and avoided them because of how they've done away with being able to use arrow keys to turn around, you can only really bind keys for strifing. Same with the new remasters of course, so I guess my hand has finally been forced to go KB + Mouse for Doom.

E1M1 is pretty easy to NM-100S. I would reccomend playing a couple maps on UV with just -fast enabled to get used to the faster reaction times first though
