it's okay. i know the feeling of being the bad guy. my parents approve of my transition, but they never use the right terminology. i've simply come to the conclusion that once i- we, in this case- are far enough along in our transitions, correcting them will be justified due to our appearance. that's a stupid way of looking at it, and i never intended to enable them, but it's better when my parents aren't giving me the cold shoulder for "crawling up their asses." parents are precious creatures.

Yeah, I'll definitely keep trying. I mean, when my mom finally got the name down pat and introduced me to me to my little brother's teacher as "my son, Zander" I probably had the biggest dorkiest smile on my face. It was a great feeling since my mom had so much trouble with it in the beginning. I don't see my uncle that often so I don't know how much I can do about it when it comes to talking with him, but I think that eventually he will call me Zander. He's a pretty awesome guy and I love him:)

Yeh, I went up to spend Christmas with my family and I have a HUGE family dinner on Christmas day with so many of my family members. Some of them called me Zander and "he" others didn't know so they didn't. I think my biggest disappointment was when my uncle refused to call me Zander. He said he accepts me and such but that I'll always be -insert birth name here- to him. So I at least got him to call me the masculine nickname of my birth name. It hurt because he's one of my fav family members

Sound great for 6 weeks! I've had the same thing happen with people thinking I'm my dad...which is weird because we're not biologically related... Week by week videos are cool :D Sorry to hear about pronoun issues and such with your family. I'm sure the change you're looking for will come soon!
