So gut wrenching! The only ones who couldn’t close out a 3-2 lead! Everyone else did what had to be done to advance! This team cannot be trusted!

Every other team handled their business and finished off their opponent in the 6th game of the series. Sixers the only team that choked and have to play a 7th deciding game…..typical Sixers team, so over it 😤

When nobody is making shots including himself James Harden starts trying to create contact and bait fouls, the refs didn't give him those calls in the last 4 minutes so that's where his complaints were coming from. When Doc says they were not trusting well, what he means is that James wasn't trusting Joel and Maxey to make their shots late game. After game 5 I don't think Harden's efforts got recognized enough, he did not look happy. To me, it also seemed like he did not want to get the blame for the Sixers losing their shot at the ECF so he played with a bit less confidence. I think he is more sensitive than he lets on, because of all the BS he has received from the media over the years. All that being said, trying to win game 6 with foul baiting is just not the move, it's a fear response. We need James to have some pep in his step, we need his playmaking mind to function at 110%, and we need everyone to hit those open shots. I would hope that as a coach you could calm everybody down, talk them up, hype them up, get the mood going in the right direction but that didn't happen. Honestly, our boys really just let the bad reffing early on in the game get to them.

Those misses did come from Maxey. Two badly missed 3s down the stretch that were open. It really only should have been Embiid taking the shots down the stretch. I watched the game again and man we should have won. Robert Williams wasn't even in the game in the last 4 minutes. What's crazy is if we played as bad as we did in game 3, we would have won this game. Somehow we played worse than that.

You also watched White drop 3 threes. And if for some reason Grant Williams had to come in, you might have watched him drop a few threes. We won't even mention Hauser or Prichard. All in all, there were going to be threes.

Here is the problem for the Celtics. Mazula keeps trying to play offensive basketball but finally this past game put both Williams and horford in at the same times. That’s the Celtics best lineup and it will certainly be they way for game 7. If Tatum doesn’t have an all time bad 3 quarters the sixers are losing by 20-25 points. Defense first and the Celtics won’t lose, but mazula has coached very poorly in the series

The narrative for much of this series was that the Celtics haven't played their best basketball and that's why the Sixers are winning games. But game 6 I started to realize I think it should be the other way. The Sixers been giving the Celtics games. Although we lost, what I still like about this game is that our defense was on point. We held the Celtics to 95 points. Maxey has figured out the Celtics. It still seems to me that the Celtics can't actually guard Embiid. And finally, Niang is looking confident again.
@johndoe39322
@johndoe39322 Жыл бұрын
You didn't hold the Celtics to anything. Tatum missed about 10-12 wide open shots if he hits 40% of those the Celtics win by 30
@ChanTheMan1996
@ChanTheMan1996 Жыл бұрын
If Tatum has just an average night in game 6 it’s a blowout win for the Celtics. The Sixers defense had absolutely nothing to do with his shooting struggles. If it were the Sixers defense then he wouldn’t have scored 16 in the 4th quarter.
@therealdarrell282
@therealdarrell282 Жыл бұрын
The Sixers have been giving the Celtics a lot of wide open looks that they have missed. Embiid is just staying in the paint and the other guys are scrambling on defense and somebody is wide open when the ball is moving.
@ordellrobbie2460
@ordellrobbie2460 Жыл бұрын
Well, if holding the Celtics to 95 is a good thing, that means they're playing defense, and that ain't a good thing for opposition because, more than likely, they won't be scoring 95. As a top offense, they have the ability to drop 130. That's a bonus when you're a top 2 defense. I'm seeing nearly all teams in the playoffs this year aren't doing what they should be.

Tobias 2-6-3 in a super-critical game and this guy makes 35 million dollars a year, meanwhile he was great the game before. How is it even possible, let alone a reasonable option? It's wild, and Harden the same. These guys need a soul-check......I couldn't imagine in my wildest nightmares that happening. 35 million dollars a year, but can't switch gears at will...
@geeemqu

The problem is, they make entirely too much money. Divide it by 35 with a carrot to follow and you'd see superior execution, and that is wild.....

Ben Simmons is the worst of all time in this regard ( that I can think of ). But it must be a thing. They feel so damn safe, that if it's not naturally their night, flow, they just let it go. Safe at home. It's incredibly disgraceful...

Basketball is frustrating, I don't know. Apparently, some people haven't been watching very many games or other teams in the NBA. Tatum going 1-10 in the first half does not mean that the Sixers or any other team for that matter should be up by 15. Defense notwithstanding, the Celtics have shooters everywhere. And 4 or 5 that can drive the lane. So opposing team defense has to be everywhere. Not saying the Sixers had no chance in this game. But the Celtics should have won by 15. Embiid, obviously, still hurt, and between him and Harden, they seemed disinterested in going the distance. See what 7 brings.

cracks me up when Philly fans complain about refs lmao. Harden snaps his head back every time someone breaths near him. 7 footer flops when a 6'4 guard barely touches him. 76ers have gotten calls all series. Tatum rips the ball through and its a no call

Now i say this. I rewatch last 6 min. 83-81 embid missed a hook shot neat rim. Maxey missed a three. Then harden instead going to basket, shoots a three open floor. That three staright possessions. Then maxey gambles n tatum make fade away three in corner. Next possession embid had jumper went in n out. With that being said sixers stop shooting unnecessary threes n go basket esp at home. Biggest problem embid stop playing around on perimeter. He needs to POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saying this embid pose his will down stretch. Lastly open looks was there w tobias clearly will not shoot stalls the offense too!!!

Jojo should leave Philly. This is looking like a Dame issue where we are watching primes wasted. We've seen it over and over when a team underperformed bc their superstar was supposed to save the day. Butler is doing the job n the heat show up bc he hassles and expects more of his team. Jojo doesn't have help the heat has in supporting their star.
