The BBall Paul era is (most likely) over. We discuss Paul Reed’s time in Philly and give him a fond farewell. We also talk about the addition of Caleb Martin, what we can truly expect out of Paul George, Andre Drummond, Kelly Oubre, Tyrese Maxey and Eric Gordon. I think the best point Spike made all pod was Maxey potentially expanding his game. If maxey could find 50% of the craftiness that Brunson he could really create even more offense. If we can’t get Marcus Morris, I would live with KJ and bringing back the ghost of ROCO until the deadline.

1982 sixers comp is not good. No Mo Cheeks. Bobby Jones locked down any player 2-4. This team needs a point guard bad. And from someone who watched a lot of 82 as well as late 70s, Andrew Toney was no Maxey and PG is sure no Dr. J. Erving was like an Oubre but 10x better, it was please don't shoot, go to the hoop. It didn't really matter how many defenders hung on him. As he got older, he relied more on the midrange, not so good. This team concerns me regarding rebounding. Not just the personnel but also scheme. I think Nurse emphasizes getting back on D and leaving the O glass behind. This problem could be compounded by the fact they are slow and old. Transition baskets will decrease and I think this is where they miss Melton. A point guard to run with Maxey in transition and if they are committing to the half court game some bruising 4 would help a lot. Really two of each would finish the roster, two 1s and 2 4s at mins.

Yeah - I love getting the twins back home and they're not clone either. Marcus is more of a floor spacer/shooter and Markieff is more of a close to the rim/rebounding guy. ANd I can't believe they wouldn't jump at the chance to play together even on minimum contracts.

Think about what Daryl has given Embiid to win: 1) Tyrese Maxey 2) Paul George 3) Kelly Oubre 4) Caleb Martin 7) Ricky Council The only athletes comparable to any of these guys before Daryl would not shoot the ball

2 way perimeter players has always been our biggest issue. We always had guys who could either shoot(JJ/Seth), defend(Simmons), or create(Sixers Jimmy didn’t shoot ) but never all 3. Now we have 6-7 including McCain

Spike- even now you are underestimating Maxey's transcendence. Post-Joel, whenever that is and however it happens, Tyrese will be in his prime. This is a terrible example, but did anyone else hear Steven A. intentionally say Paul George joining Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. He did it twice

The BEST rebounder left on the Free agent market is without a doubt JAVONTE GREEN 7.5 Boards a game last year in 25Min per game. He also shot 37% from 3. I am shocked he is still available.
