As a Spurs fan who watches every game, Wemby does this often as a competitive advantage. He can't outmuscle opposition players when trying to hold position so he will often let himself get pushed by not resisting. If he tries to push back he won't win and will get moved from his spot, so I have no issue with this. Just because he's tall people expect a certain level of strength, which he doesn't possess. The real factor is Wemby's weight of lack thereof. His height only makes his centre of gravity higher and makes me more flimsy and floppy.

You mentioned the flop tech on wemby wasn't noted and the maxey tech ft wasn't recorded in the play by play. They didn't miss it. It's because at the next deadball they took the point away and removed the flopping tech. So tensions were still high because there was even more confusion around one inbound that now had taken up almost 10 minutes real world time with lots of confusing reffing. Embiid still can't do that and also it was definitely an offensive foul on him, but tensions were definitely not lowered at all

17:30 Flop tech was erased from Wemby after review, that is why is not in play-by-play.

"The refs are ruining the game" is the go to saying for many fans for years now, but I believe its true. The NBA needs to do something about it, because its contributing to the ratings going down. There needs to be some sort of action, some sort of discipline, some kind of changes to the way the game is referee'd. Its not just a saying anymore, and it needs to be dealt with promptly.

From the first angle where you can see both refs...Drummond does step on Wemby's foot...for the second 'foul'. Looks to me that he does actually fall. But also looks like Wemby takes opportunities to fall which border on flopping. But if 2 centers can't jostle for position DIRECTLY UNDER THE BASKET without deadball fouls then I don't know how you play basketball - by the way, techs for dead ball fouls that result in ejection?? Why??

It's ironic that Wemby gets a technical for flopping (rightfully so) against the very team where one of the biggest floppers in the league plays.

16:20 Wemby obviously trip over, he didn't try to sell contact, you can tell by how he just want to stand-up immediately.

They _retracted_ the flopping tech on Wemby. Surprised you missed that.

@BBALLBREAKDOWN With the Embiid/Wemby block/charge situation, I feel like I saw some different angles. Did their legs make contact first? You didn't acknowledge that Embiid fell. Maybe you don't think it was a trip by Wemby, but I think it should've at least been in the discussed based on the angle I saw. Plus it's Embiid's injured leg so he could've been more sensitive even if it was the right call. For a ref, I think it's a 50/50 call to be fair. On replay, I think it's a blocking foul. Wemby trips people because his legs are so long.

17:03 coach and combo are blind? Look at Drummond’s foot
