What I have to say, is that tsunade with katsyuya with stood almighty push that destroyed the entire village, and she is the sole reason why all the people are alive still and directly after that pain couldn’t even operate for five minutes couldn’t do no almighty push almighty pull nothing so there’s that all of the Shinobi in the village at that time weren’t stronger than Jirayah or , orochiMaru Jirayah, when he thought the four tails did not fight, the four tails in sage mode, which is a significant power boost and amp, and he wasn’t fighting him with killer intention orochiMaru was in a weak, dying decrepit body, and did not have access to his full power when he was fighting the four tails, and u can make the arguement that tsunade could knock Naruto in the four tail out completely if not obliterate him completely given the fact that sasuke kirin that destroyed an entire mountain didn’t crack itachis susanno and she blew apart some of Madara Susanno and the fact that she has the hundred healings ability. On top of Jeriah, having his sage mode with his genjutsu to body all six pains, orochiMaru was defeated by bloodlust Itachi waiting for him. And I’m not even bringing up the fact that orochimaru can just bring up dead bodies that are immortal to fight on the battlefield for him against pain. Oroshimaru with both hands would have easily taken care of Naruto. Even Sasuke knew that if it wasn’t because of Oroshimaru’s handicap, he wouldn’t have been able to defeat him. Think about it, if Oroshimaru was able to use his justu for the whole show + his immortality, he’d be completely unstoppable. He would have also easily defeated Sasuke and took over his body, while having the knowledge to produce a Rinnegan. It would’ve been a wrap for everyone, there’s a reason why they needed to severely nerf him.

What also must be taken into context is that Jiraiya had no idea what pain was capable of. The whole fight was him trying to figure out what was going on. They're a few things that I have to point out. 1. Tsunade is not going to spend that much chakra on summoning Katsuyu. The 2 time she used up all her chakra was because she was trying to save all the leaf village, and shinobi alliance. There's only 3 things that they will need Katsuyu for. 1 Information hub: All the Katsuyu do share one mind, so she can relay all of Pain strength and weakness. And if any of the other 2 have an idea or plan they could just inform Katsuyu. 2 Healing: The only person that she needs to heal is Jiraiya. Orochimaru already has himself a healing factor, and Tsunade is Tsunade. 3 Attack: You can make a good argument that Pain cannot absorb her acid, because it is organic. 2. Orochimaru and Tsunade cannot be put down by anything that Pain does besides the blackhole. Tsunade can beat any of his summons with a good hit besides the dog, and anything that they do to her is going to be on the same level as what Madara does to her if not least. Orochimaru is just a cockroach that can't be killed, and don't forget the 3 undying bodies that he has, the edo tensei. 3. Jiraiya's main goal is to kill the chameleon then the main body of Pain. Orochimaru and Tsunade are going to survive fighting the Pain by themselves. Tsunade is still going to have a large portion of her chakra because the only person she has to heal is Jiraiya, and besides for the blackhole there are no moves that Pain has that can take down Orochimaru. Besides for the blackhole, the fight is going to be more 50/50 leaning on the Pain side. With the blackhole, Pain is going to win.

Tsundade and orochimaru are susceptible to chakra drain and soul rip. If they get stabbed by chakra rods they can be paralyzed. If the fight is on neutral territory pain can clap his hands and use chubaku tensei which takes near full ninetails transformation to break and 4 tails can body jiraiya.

Jiraiya was off guard, had no intent to kill/badly injure and was trying to seal the nine tails with tags. He was fighting in a heavily disadvantaged state and still ‘won’. They are really exaggerating the 4 tails as an Anti-feat. I wouldn’t say the scale to 8 tails by any stretch but I can’t definitely see them holding their own vs 6 tails if they had to with intent to kill/healthy bodies.

Tbh I think that each of the Sannin are being considerably downplayed here, considering that parts of their kits are being ignored. Orochimaru's cursed sealing is no joke, and is used during the war to handle a guy who was evenly matching the 3rd Hokage who had infinite chakra reserves. Tsunade also has good terrain disruption and offensive medical ninjutsu techniques, while Jiraya's frog song is still a win-con.

I can totally see Tsunade using her kick to break the ground and split the paths then Orochimaru using the gates as a triangle barrier to separate some paths and Jaraiya using either flaming toad oil or genjutsu to take out the few paths stuck inside the gates. After that, Orochimaru could use the snake tsunami thing to make the deva path use his jutsu & the Sanin use that chance to attack. This would also be a good chance for Jaraiya to use toad stomach and separate the deva path.

32:40 ma and pa are connected to jiraiya so they'd also be pulling jiraiya in to. And he can just shoot a fire ball while he's being pulled in. Also tendo should at least be relative to jiraiya in speed. Nagato didn't just have tendo come in and solo at the end. And jiraiya was still able to escape and bring a path into his frog dimension. Zetsu also notes that the fight took awhile in the same chapter they say "jiraiya would have won if he knew our secret" and black zetsu's reason for why the fight took awhile was because pain was fighting jiraiya.

The Sannin can win it just depends on how the fight goes. Jiraiya beat three Pains by himself with no intel. Tsunade can one shot all of the Pains and can tank every attack except the Human Path's soul steal. Orochimaru is the strongest Sannin with his hands unsealed. If they have intel ahead of time the Sannin definitely win. They will take out the healing Pain first and even if Jiraiya dies he will take out a couple pains before that. Tsunade and Orochimaru have enough healing and revival hax to outlast the rest of the Pains.

I think its less that they cant beat pain but their chances of winning are probably closer to 30%, it all depends on how they target and how pain approaches the start of the fight. They have the moves that are fully capable swaying the battle in their favor, but even in the case that they win it wont be without casualties.

No. 1 shinra tensei from a MASSIVELY FATIGUED PAIN who had just spent hours demolishing the entire village, fighting everybody within the village, etc casually obliterated 3 massive Gamabunta level summons (INCLUDING BUNTA) and I quote "broke all their bones" and put them permanently out of commission for the fight. If you think that Jiraiya (who died to fucking rinnegan rods and the asura path's BARE HAND CRUSHING HIS THROAT CASUALLY WITH JUST PHYSICAL STRENGTH) is going to tank an attack that a much much more weakened version of pain used that ended in breaking the bones of Gamabunta and permanently incapacitating him, or Tsunade and Orochimaru are going to be able to tank an attack of that level and then instantly deal with 5 paths of pain, 1 of which can instantly end them if it so much as touches them by ripping their soul out, you're quite literally on drugs. If the stars align and a frog song lands on enough of the correct pains they can win for example. That isnt likely to happen but they have some chance to pull off a win, however i dont think it is going to be the standard outcome of the battle. Pain might not start off going instantly for the kill either, in character he didnt just stomp his opponents out until later so there is a little wiggle room.

Sage Naruto is just ambiguously "stronger" than Jiraija which implies he could be anywhere from 1% stronger or more but nothing is ever suggested nor implied... so i think its safe to say that sage Naruto isn't even 2x stronger than sage Jiraija and nothing suggests otherwise.... Now the sannin are stated in data book to receive a 3x power amp when fighting together, this amp should easily make them each individually stronger than Sage Naruto... Jiraiya didn't lose to the three paths of pain that were JUMPING him, he KILLED them and then the other three paths showed up, the Naraka path brought the first three back, and then all SIX of them JUMPED him...and Jiraiya still held his own. Mind you all of this was WITHOUT any kind of Intel or prior knowledge. Compare that to Naruto and everyone else who HAD info and prep time; Pain scraped ALL of them. Considering Deva barely beat a old very rusty hanzo while the sannin in a weaker form stalemate prime hanzo in base, it's very arguable any of the sannin in base can win high diff( can be lower depending on which sannin u pick). Just like to correct you on one thing. Orochimaru in part one had already left the Alatsuki. Meaning he should at least know a little something about Pain. Especially considering it was losing to Pain that made him join the Akatsuki. I know this was a cutscene from storm generations that shows us this and you have used scenes from that game before to add to your point. I think something people forget is that we never see any of the 3 Sannin at their peak and when we first meet them Tsunade and Jiraiya are in their 50's so they are well past their prime and getting weaker as time goes on. I don’t see the sanin withstanding chibaku tensei, gedo statue and the jutsu pain used to erase the leaf. There’s just too much in pains arsenal that are overkill. I think the reason why this is negligible is because lots of people scale what happened to Jiraiya to overhype Pain. The problem was that Jiraiya was basically fighting blindly the whole fight meanwhile Pain had prep time and knew exactly what Jiraiya could do. It was a complete mismatch. Pain massively outscales Jiraiya, or this would have been the case UNTIL Nagato stated that Jiraiya would have defeated him if he knew about the Six Paths of Pain. Not even Pain's biggest supporters can refute this. Nagato admitted that Jiraiya would have not just done better but downright beaten all of the Pains if he had prep time.

Jiraiya did defeat nagato in the end, and nagato was absolutely right about his secret and jiraiya. As soon as he figured out the secret to his rinnegan, pain’s fate was sealed. Giving Naruto that intel+the other rinnegan intel was literally the largest contributing factor to Naruto winning. I highly doubt pain ever meant he’d beat him in a straight up fight. At least, that’s how I always took it. The fact that he storms the leaf almost immediately after he recovers from the fight to get back the body and chakra receivers/ find Naruto was something I always thought reinforced that idea. Now I’m just speaking the obvious, but.. He was clearly worried because the rinnegan in particular isn’t as effective once people know it’s secrets. At least the way he used it, with the six paths. It’s the one weakness of pain; the split bodies and weakened original put pain in a position single body nagato would never have to worry about. All they have to do is send one high level ninja or squad after the main body and the six paths are in a predicament. Jiraiya was possibly the only person on the planet that could have put two and two together and realized who pain was; he really was the only one that could “defeat” pain. Orochimaru and kabuto might have been able to deduce some of his abilities, for example, but never his actual identity. They just didn’t have the clues and information jiraiya did.

Good video but I gotta say I heravily disagree. Chibaku Tensei can get destroyed by anything Bijuu level, the Sannin combined easily reach that, hell Tsunade might just do it alone and crush the core with her punch. If Katsuyu gets summoned it's instantly over, she could heal the whole village, imagine the healing she could provide on just 3. Pain has to permanently threaten to oneshot every Sannin to win this, otherwise you have Katsuyu, Edo Kage or Frog Song in the mix. He will lose that war of attrition eventually, it's one Chakra pool vs three and one of the three is Tsunade's.

It's funny how the statement made by Fukasaku seems to be interpreted as Naruto surpassing Jiraiya but not Minato, when the manga/anime clearly shows the both of them lol. Naruto's surpassing of the 2 is strictly based on his ability to draw out and maximize sage mode itself, it doesn't mean that he can win in a fight against them. One of the biggest misconceptions of "power scaling" is that it doesn't properly account for the impact of hax, abilities and battle tatics which could tilt the battle in someone's favor if their overall speed and power is in a close range. Naruto isn't Dragon Ball Z where its objective that once someone's power level is higher than another that means that they should win the fight.
