Horford for majority of the playoffs was playing 40+ mins as the starting center. Even if you see him as the 6th player, his impact was on the level with their 4th sometimes even 3rd player. At 40, I'm not sure if this move will be as impactful as people think. At this age, Chris is not a transitional passer. He plays more 1/2 court which is great for lobs but slows down the game. For a young team like the Spurs, I think they need to increase the tempo for easy basket. Wemby runs the floor well and that should be a running point guard.

I honestly don't get why everyone thinks this is such a great move. Chris Paul is 39. He's way past his prime. He won't play 30 mins a night. His 3 point shot isn't great anymore. Lastly, the spurs are years away from competing. At least 2. Should've just developed that next pg. Maybe it's stephon
