You can actually put the SS liner back in the IP to store and just turn the lid upside down for storage. That way if any moisture comes out of the valve it won't drip into the hole and get the electronics wet. The liner is stainless steel and should not retain odors. Your children are all adorable!

Pro tip: When peeling carrots, hold onto the small end FIRST and peel the fat end, then turn it around and peel the small end. It's much easier to hold onto the carrot than if you peel the small end first.

This looks great! I have everything for the stir fry (it was on my menu for this week!) so I'm definitely making this. Thanks, Kristen! I have a quick question since I'm a slacker on learning my IP! I sometimes use frozen veg for stir fry's - would it work to set it for 0 minutes pressure cook? Or would it be better to just cook them separately and add in once the chicken and sauce are done? And should I add a minute or so to the chicken cook time if doing that? Oops! Too quick on the "send" button! 😂 I meant to say how grown up and gorgeous Harper has gotten! She's a gem! Sesame oil is not for frying. You should use vegetable oil and then add the sesame oil at the end for flavoring.

Yes, sesame oil has a low burn temp but is wonderful to season with.

Hello! Any cleaning tips? I've been using my pot to slow cook a lot of chicken lately but the pot has a very strong bone broth-y smell. We took it apart and gave it a good clean then took out the rubber band from the lid. It seemed to have the worst smell. let it soak for a day then air dry but that rubber portion still has a strong chicken-y smell. Any suggestions on how to get the smell out? Thanks!!

I think airing it out is about all you can do. Store it so that it’s constantly airing out. The rubber seal is replaceable once it wears out. But I wouldn’t change them every time they smell like food or you’d be constantly changing them.
