Made the enchilada soup tonight and my husband asked for a second bowl. He kept saying it was delicious. This is special for me because he has dementia and never seems to care what he eats. This hit the spot for him and made me feel like I had finally found something he cared about. Thank you.

I had a really good pressure cooker for years making Elk Stew, always got praise. Now we got one of these gems, just throw anything in it. It will make the toughest meats flaky and tender. It's best if you are ever adding veggies to release the pressure and add them closer to your end cook time or they want to get mushy. I haven't tried it but It may be possible to tenderize a solid construction brick...

Carla, I put my leftovers in a glass or metal bowl with lid. Put your 1 1/2 c water in instapot . I usually high pressure for 8 mins. Fresh rice, I cook the same: pot in pot method. 8 mins high pressure & generally natural release. I throw a chunk of butter...2 teaspoons or so, with salt, onion & garlic powders with 1:1 ratio rice to water. If I’m cooking rice for a rice pudding, I put the cinnamon in w rice. Arborio rice is yummy. Cook it slightly less time. Hope this helps.

sweet lady of assumed knowledge, where do you find that artificial sweeteners are better. Research formaldehyde forming with heated aspartame. The fact that it’s fed to children is not something to be encouraged. No one with a science degree, medical degree, or nutritional training should be encouraging this combination. **IMPORTANT WARNING** You should not cook with Diet Dr. Pepper. It contains aspartame. Aspartame is a methyl ester that is not able to stand up to high temperatures or high pH levels. When subjected to high heat it becomes denatured and becomes Free methanol. Free methanol breaks down into formaldehyde, a known carcinogen and neurotoxin*. Honestly, pouring in regular Dr. P and then drinking the rest of the six pack in one sitting is safer and much much healthier than cooking with diet Dr. P. *If you think I am full of shit Google it. The first thing you will read is from a manufacturer which says they do not recommend cooking with aspartame. If by chance you want to cook with a sugar substitute, that is what Splenda is for. You will note that you can buy bags of Splenda for baking but not Aspertame. And yes you put Aspertame in hot coffee but in very small amounts and generally for a short time.
@lindajohnsen51704 жыл бұрын
StrangeViolette Actually, Splenda is just as bad as aspertame, it is a neural toxin in- use Stevia a natural plant with sweet leaves that can be used as the leaf or dried into a powder- it’s even available as a liquid. If you don’t want to deal with the plant, you can get stevia in a powder or liquid form in the grocery store in the baking section. I am diabetic, stevia is wonderful for cooking or sweetening drinks- hot or cold. 🤗
