This is textbook narcissist. Also evidently someone who loves the drama and has a massive victim complex. He wants sympathy, he wants to always be right, he can never take accountability. He obviously has no real interest in being in a committed relationship. He loves the attention of being wanted and desired by a romantic partner but once that feeling wears off he’s on to the next, continuing the cycle over and over again. And unfortunately for Liz, she’s vulnerable, and easy to manipulate for him. This is typical in domestic violence relationships. Another layer of her vulnerability is the fact that she was and still is significantly younger than Ed. People think grooming can’t happen if you’re not a minor but that’s not true. It can happen if there’s a large age gap, or an imbalance of power. Ed never loved her, he used her. Used her for his own ego, destroyed her, and now is rejecting her while making sure to milk every second of the situation because he is obsessed with being the victim. Long story short: He needs help. And he needs to stay away from women. I have a podcast and made a whole episode about grooming if you want to be more educated on grooming of young adults/ vulnerable adults. Podcast name: CCsCloset

@@HowDareYouSpeakToMe while that is true I definitely think we need to show a level of understanding. Not too much understanding, just in an objective point of view when looking at the obvious fact that she has been groomed and manipulated by a man double her age. It takes a victim of dv an average of 7 times to leave a toxic relationship. I don’t know what she’s been through in her relationship, but evidently she has a lot of work to do on herself in terms of building self confidence to finally leave him. From what it looks like she has finally done that. That’s all we can hope for as onlookers.

It’s like the girl is a weird masochist who loves just having reasons to cry. Can’t even feel bad for her because she literally just kept running back. 15:20 It’s crazy how common it is online for people to say that “letting” someone do bad things IS their fault. I’ve personally seen this mostly with women (though I’m sure it happens to men too). They’ll describe being cheated on, and then people in the comments will say they “can’t take accountability for picking bad men and letting them cheat”. It’s insane and part of why I deleted most social media. Always nice to be reminded that normal, sane people find that notion ridiculous.
