Great choices!❤ I loved BJU Press, it was my daughter that wasn’t a big fan. Well, she LOVED Bible Truths, but didn’t like English. The Literature course looks great! Great topics to be learning about. 😊

I love to put plans on paper before it goes into the digital planner!!! I love the middle school yrs!!! I feel like there’s more independence but still family time!!! Nothing wrong with a different spelling curriculum!!! We’ve never used EIW!!! The literature course looks awesome!!! We’ve never used BJU so I’ve never heard of the homeschool hub!!! I personally love my kids to read the books if possible!!!

I totally agree! And the Homeschool Hub was great, I used it before switching to Homeschool Planet (when we used BJU Press curriculum exclusively) and it was sooo nice for planning and keeping track of everything.

Do you feel that the video lessons for Bju literature are necessary? It’s really expensive and seems to not be able to be purchased just literature, at least for the 8th grade level. I love your choices.
@blessedhomeschool9 ай бұрын
Great question! No, I don't think the online video lessons are _necessary_ , but, I think you'd want to use a Teacher Edition in lieu of them so you could help teach/guide your child through the lessons. You should be able to purchase literature by itself, they may not have video lessons for every subject yet, though! I'm going to try to get a flip-through video done soon and I'll also show what the Teacher Edition looks like so you can get a good feel for it!

Did you ever use the language lessons workbook from MFW?
@blessedhomeschool9 ай бұрын
I did use it, I believe my son was in 2nd grade (so that was with Adventures in US History, if my memory serves me correctly! 😂). It was very gentle, so we also were using All About Reading and I used Growing with Grammar a bit as well that year to supplement. Now…would it have been ok to use Language Lessons by itself? Possibly!! It just didn’t feel like “enough” for us, I don’t have any other great reasons that I remember 😂

Not interested in IEW? EIW looks good too.

I have heard great things about IEW! Do you use it? This was the one I ultimately decided to go with, hoping it will be a good fit!
