Vast, vast majority of conspiracy buffs (like I was for 30 years until 2017) have never read a single counter conspiracy book, therefore the media-sphere is filled with those points un-rebutted. I have owned and read dozens of conspiracy books and that view was reinforced by Stone’s movie and other documentaries. What people really need to do is read the Warren report or HSCA report cover to cover. The random, undeserved dismissal of official investigations (Warren, Dallas police, autopsy, FBI etc) is done with no evidence and no logical backing…just with suspicion. Just because the CIA and fbi had done dirty tricks in the past, doesn’t mean they did in this case, and no evidence of this is given by conspiracists…only suspicion. When I believed in conspiracy I thought Oliver Stone wouldn’t lie because it would be so easy to fact check him (yet I never did) and so damaging to the ‘cause’. The official fact based version of events can be found in 3 main sources…Warren, HSCA and Bugliosi’s brilliant summary tome of a book.

His very last statement about the head shot being from the rear is completely opposite of Dr. Cryil Wecht's hypotheses pertaining to the fatal head shot. I have met him several times, and seen him lecture bc I live in Allegheny County. When I was a child, my mother and father got a divorce, I had to fly back and forth from Pittsburgh to Maine frequently. I always sat first class, bc my father had endless free miles. No lie .. No lie, I sat next to him one trip, n at the time , n still to this day, the JFK assassination intrigues the hell out of me. I picked his brain for 5 -6 minutes , n then left him alone. Wecht is a clown. All evidence clearly demonstrates the head shot is from the rear. Kennedy had a cratered entrance wound in the back of his skull, an impossible shot from the knoll but a clear and direct one from Oswald's window. The bullet caused an explosion out at the right temple, also a ludicrous scenario from a shot from the knoll.

Were 3 shots fired from nest - 3 shells were found but maybe first shell was an eject from the gun, after previous gun use by a sloppy shooter (he arrived with only 3 max 4 live rounds in a 6 shot clip) found farther west as if rifle was held higher, then TWO shots & reloads, so 2 more shells both from a prone position and landed close together, and one live round found chambered - gives 6.5+ seconds for 2 shots. Set aside a cop may have picked up the 3 shells to drop them again.

Pictures don’t lie. But they don’t necessarily tell the “truth” either. Or explain anything. They simply capture a moment in time…just my humble opinion. It’s very difficult to hit a small target with a rifle, even harder when it’s moving. Harder still if you’re gonna pull off the crime of the century. I guess one line but could do it (in theory), but who the hell could pull off a cover up for the last 60 years? If there’s nothing to hide, then why in God’s name is there still documents and information being withheld from being released to the public after all this time? If you can’t smell something rotten with all this, you simply haven’t been paying attention.

People like to say that it was so unlikely that someone could shoot him from the 6th floor TSBD that it probably couldn't have happened - the best evidence that it was possible to do is that someone DID it! lol. almost everyone who has been to Dealy or the 6th floor says it's waaaay closer than it appears. And he had a scope and was a good shot. Having said that he was only 33% effective. If you count a head-shot as hitting the target, he only got 1/3. The head is also not a small target. But the slope and direction of the road away from the 6th floor made it so he didn't have to move his rifle on the box support very much at all. The target was moving almost directly away from him on an almost straight line. Compare that to a shot from the fence going from left to right across the field of vision would have been much harder. Add to this that the autopsy showed a bullet track FROM REAR TO FRONT through the right hemisphere only. A shot from the fence would have to have crossed hemispheres. A number of independent variables show rear to front. Bevelling of the skull on inner surface of the skull at the back and the outer surface on the front...this means entrance at the rear/exit out front. The pattern of occipital fracture started at the back and moved forward (like a stone thrown in the water). Lead deposits from the bullet started with higher density at the rear and less dense at the front - that's a rear entry and front exit. All the obscure incidental stuff (3 Oswald's, security clearance at Atsugi etc) or the suspicions mean nothing in the face of the hard evidence.

Holland’s answer to the question re. the comment by Parkland medical attendances that a bulllet entered from the front was wrong because they didn’t see JFK’s back. What Holland leaves out is that Parkland medical authorities would have seen JFK’s back but also the front of his head where Dr. McClellan believed the bullet that killed JFK entered. Had JFK’s body not been illegally removed, Parkland medical authorities would have been able to make a complete examination of the wounds.

If Doctor McClellan believed a bullet entered the FRONT of JFK'S head, he was WRONG. Not only did NO Parkland doctor examine the wounds, they never saw the entrance wound in the back. He is also wrong because there were ONLY THREE SHOTS which is easy to prove but ALL three came from the rear and from the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository using an Italian Carcano bolt action rifle which belonged to Oswald. All of this is easily proved and confirmed by several investigations including the 1978 House Committee on Assassinations and the Warren Commission. You are aware that all bullet fragments have been linked ballisticly to Oswald's rifle including the magic bullet CE399 to the exclusion of all other guns.

Kennedy and that the purpose of these acts was to prevent the true discovery of his murderers, to wit: Taking JFK’s body out of the State of Texas by members of the Secret Service before it was legally released by Texas official medical authorities violated Texas state law. Confiscating evidence, including films, the limousine, etc. by members of the Secret Service or others posing as members of the Secret Service also violated Texas state law. That the City of Dallas, the County of Dallas and the State of Texas police and other Texas state officials did not resist or even object to these thefts was a dereliction of duty by these governing authorities. The highest authorities in the Federal government by their actions, specifically the President, the head of the FBI and the Warren Commission demonstrated complicity in these illegal acts. Questions, as far I know that have never been asked but need to be: Who initially ordered this theft of JFK’s body and this evidence? And regardless of who gave the order, even if it was the highest authority of the Federal government: Why did these secret service personnel commit these illegal acts? Clint Hill, and other secret service agents on active duty at the time of this murder, obviously party to these illegal acts, owe the nation answers to these questions to the extent they are able to do so. State of Texas authorities, those at the State, County and City, having never acknowledged these violations of Texas State law, as a minimum, need to acknowledge these wrongs. From these acts alone, there can be no conclusion other than that the Federal government authorities were complicit in these violations of Texas state law, and foremost amongest these responsible for these violations was the newly sworn-in President. Also complicit in these violations were: the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and those comprising the Warren Committee. Not only did these not so much as censure these crimes, the former gave direct orders to Dallas law officials that all evidence associated with the murder of the President was to be given to the FBI; and, as far as can be determined from that placed in the public domain, the latter either accepted the evidence as it was placed before them without questioning its authenticity or discounted any and all evidence that did not fit with their conclusion that Lee H. Oswald was the lone assassin. Consistent with these illegal acts are credible testimonies that: 1) JFK’s body was tampered with from the time it left Parkland Hospital and its arrival at Bethesda Hospital; and 2) The Zapruder film was tampered with prior to it being placed in the evidentiary file and definitely before it was released for public viewing. Beyond these testimonies is the conclusion by Dr. McClelland, the first to see the massive head wound, that the shot that killed the President entered from the front. These only add to the lack of truthfulness that can be assigned to the official version on the JFK assassination, specifically, these facts alone deny the Warren Commission report authenticity. The consequence of these violations by these Federal government officials and these credible testimonies is that it is not possible for reasonable people to accept the official version that the assassination of President Kennedy was by Lee H. Oswald acting solely on his own. This does not mean that this killing was a conspiracy nor does it mean that this killing was not by a lone assassin and that that assassin was Lee H. Oswald. What it means is that we cannot know the truth of this historical event nor can we have confidence in the honesty of our government officials. Even at this late time, those in authority in the State of Texas should as a minimum acknowledge that these acts by the secret service were crimes against the people of the State of Texas. More appropriately these authorities should prosecute to the extent Texas state law allows all of the secrete service personnel still living that were involved in these thefts and any and all others that can be shown to be complicit in these thefts. And this obviously should be done ASAP.

@@Jim75793 I totally agree with you. However, let me tell you I am a retired deputy. I started as a deputy about two years after Kennedy was killed. What you say about the law is TRUE. NO ONE had the authority to remove Kennedy's body from the hospital or from the State of Texas, or remove the evidence from the Dallas Police Dept. However, i understand the thinking of cops at the time, though it was WRONG. Many police in that day looked up to the Federal authorities such as the FBI and the Secret Service. There were many police who considered the Feds as having higher authority than the local police. I KNEW that was not true and in 1967 had a debate with an FBI agent and I told him, "YOU and the FBI have no authority over me or this case (the one I happened to be working on at the time)". And I told him if you doubt what I say then go talk to my Sgt. He never did because he knew that I was right. But they usually get away with throwing their weight around, and snowing other cops into thinking that they (Federal Agents) have more authority in the pecking order than a bunch of dumb local cops. It's all B.S. that they usually get away because the local cops are ignorant and don't want to rock the boat. Me, I was a boat rocker.

Removing film frames from the start of the second film exposure as car turned the corner would be a very easy edit. There is a chance the overhead sign post had been repainted in the intervening 49 years. - the deflect would have needed to be on the lower 1/3rd of the horizontal tube to deflect the bullet downwards or central to send frags down & up (striking upper 1/3rd sends it all skywards) - the Chism family and others saw sparks fly off the road before the later neck shot.

Oswald was behind Kennedy. The famous image of Kennedy holding his throat with both arms up, and Gov. Connolly turned looking back, then the right side of Kennedy’s head explodes. The piece of skull went behind him toward the left side of the trunk of the car, Jackie’s climbs out trying to retrieve it. The shot that took out the side of his head came from in front of Kennedy, not from behind him. Even his autopsy was manipulated to fit the single shooter theory.

@@Supertruckerx - I just watched a clip of the Zapruder film, slowed down frame by frame. When Kennedy put his arms up to his throat, Connolly reacted almost simultaneously. He was hit too apparently, and the sound most likely startled all of them, even the driver. The shot that hit JFK’s head does look like it comes from the right side front of him. The spray of blood and brain matter blows to the rear left not toward the front where Nellie Connolly and Gov. Connolly were seated. The slow speed of the limo altered the direction of the spray minimally. His head jerks toward the left, toward Jackie’s face (poor woman) and then he collapses. If the bullet came from the rear, it would have exited the front of Kennedy’s face or hit one of those seated in front. That didn’t happen. The Warren Report stated the kill shot bullet was lodged behind the President’s eye. His autopsy pictures do not indicate any trauma to either eye. A large bullet would definitely go right through his head. Remember, the same Warren Report claimed the same caliber bullet, from the same rifle, from the same position went through Kennedy’s back, out his throat, into Gov. Connolly’s back, out his chest, broke ribs, broke bones in his right wrist then lodged in his opposite thigh. The bullet, they claim exploded Kennedy’s head, was never removed “out of respect for him”. They never retrieved it because it wasn’t in his head. It blew out the back of his head. If it was ever located, you know darn well it was destroyed. The whole thing stinks.

Read Larry Sturdivan for the ballistics and how a body doesn't get thrown anywhere except in Hollywood movies (he does the momentum calculation). Mythbusters also did 2 episodes debunking this. The head moves infinitesimally forward from frame 312 to 313 (shot from rear). You can Google this. Back and to the rear is a whole body spasm with back brace causing this motion. Autopsy showed ONE bullet tracing from back to front through the right hemisphere only...no cross over from right to left as would HAVE to happen from the knoll/fence area if you do the trigonometry. There was no badgeman at the fence (grainy photos get LESS acurate as you zoom in as Gary Mack did). The three bystanders on the concrete steps just feet in front of that location didn't report a shot over their shoulders from 10 feet away (look at the Nix still photo). The back and to the left is the single biggest flag for a 4th shot from the front for 99% of conspiracy buffs. Sturdivan was one of a number of ballistics experts on the HSCA

One bullet explodes on impact, one bullet travels through 2 bodies and is in near perfect condition to be recovered as evidence. The claim the exploding bullet was due to it hitting the bone in the skull, yet the other hit bone also, why such a dramatic difference. Have tests been done on these bullets to prove they explode when hitting a human skull ?

Bullets are weird, man. Watch some Paul Harrell videos. Shoot a box of ammo at the same target and you'll get a range of results. They can vary greatly from shot to shot, but if you shoot enough of them you'll see tendencies toward a certain behavior.

But another team was called in on Sunday and made different storyboards. It was kept secret that two different versions had been made. The second set of story boards still exists, or at least some of them do. You have no proof Oswald shot anyone. He worked in that building.

As it was photographer Bob Jackson did look up as he had not turned the corner and saw the rifle before it was pulled inside. And Harold Norman on the 5th floor just under the snipers window heard the three shots loud just over his head plus the bolt being worked three times and three spent shell casings hit the floor over Norman's head.

@Clyde Cessna: The crime was one of impulse and opportunity. No one knew the presidential motorcade would pass by the TSBD when Oswald got his job there on October 15. The route was not published until November 19, three days before the assassination. When Oswald read about it, he made sure he brought his rifle to work the next day. The "patsy" remark concerned his being harassed by the DPD for having lived in the Soviet Union, and was not a reference to any conspiracy. When reporters asked Oswald if he had killed the President, he replied, “No, they’ve taken me in because of the fact that I lived in the Soviet Union. I’m just a patsy.”

Oswald fled after his attempt at Walker just like JFK. He would have wanted not to be caught, but his life was pathetic. He beat Marina regularly and was separated from her. She spurned him the night before the assassination. He lost three jobs in the 12 months prior to Nov 22. I read that the Carcano Rifle fired 6.5 MM Full Metal Jacket would enter with a 6.5 MM hole and exit with the same size . The bullet that was the fatal shot was a 6.0 MM Non Full Metal. A deeper analysis of the actual "Zapruder Film" needs to be done. What has always been depended upon as the unquestionable, foundational and absolute "time clock" for the timing of the shots is only as good as what the familiar, publicized film appears to show. Modern technology is able to highlight edits, tampering, and inconsistencies throughout the film. The original physical strip of film that was in Zapruder's camera should be studied and compared to the publicized Zapruder Film... they're not the same.

There are two or three frames as the bullet passes through JFK’s head where his head in fact jerks forward by several inches and then jerks backward do to spasm and the jet effect of the explosive ejection from the front and side of his head. His head goes away initially from the shot from behind. There is also visible matter which is thrown up and forward away from shot into the back of the head. The shot did not come from the front or from the grassy knoll but from behind.

Witnesses directly under the sixth floor window firmly said the shots all came from directly overhead. All bullets and fragments were matched to Oswald's rifle. It's vastly implausible anybody would assume they would frame this on a lone shooter while firing from multiple directions.

In Case Closed, Posner postulates that there are three "jiggles" in the film which may indicate when the shots were fired. The assertion is that the rifle shot would cause a reaction in someone trying to hold a camera steady. This was tested several times with people filming and not knowing when a rifle would be fired. In every case, there was a jiggle in the camera. There are three jiggles in the film, fairly evenly spaced which gives credence to the theory. The little girl stopping may indicate looking for the origin of the shot or it may indicate as the defense lawyer Spense said in the mock Oswald trial that the girl's mother called to her: "Rosemary, stop running and get back here!" We can't know for sure.

After listening to what people who KNEW him say - and reading Oswald's "historic diary", I think lots of things can be learned about him. Ex. The Kennedy murder was a 'representative' killing. Oswald may have had no particular dislike of Kennedy as a person - could have even liked him to some extent - but Kennedy represented the U.S. and Oswald had A LOT of hostility towards the U.S. - hence the desire to be a traitor against the U.S. for Russia, etc. He even said straight out he HATED the U.S.

Folks, there are photos of this bullet (CE 399) you can view for yourself. Other than two tiny places where a sample was taken the bullet is virtually untouched, without a scratch. It supposedly shattered a rib and radius bone in Connally after passing through JFK’s back and then out of his throat, into Connally’s back, out his chest. Seven wounds, 2 shattered bones & the nose is perfectly round. Watch the Z film. JFK is waving as the car moves behind the sign & clutching his throat as he emerges into view.

The problem is that if there was a conspiracy, and 2 or more shooters were involved, two shots, one from the rear and the other from the front, hitting JFK less than 1/18th of a second apart. If the bullet from behind hits with less power due to the distance it travelled, or it was underpowered because the powder degraded in the years between '45 and '62, and a higher powered bullet fired from the front, the the body would start forwards and be thrown backwards by the second head shot.

Max Holland is investigating the wrong bullet. Assuming the lone gunman theory, the real magic bullet is the one that killed Kennedy. It disappeared. Listen to him from 17:44 to 18:27. Use that same logic for the kill shot. First shot missed the car entirely. Second was the “magic” bullet. Where is the bullet from the third shot? All were supposedly Full metal jacket from the same gun from the same 6th floor Texas School Book Depository window. The trajectories of the 2nd and 3rd shots would not have been significantly different, just slightly flatter. The 3rd shot supposedly entered the back of Kennedy’s head and should have travelled down and toward the middle of the car exiting from JFK’s skull and ending up somewhere inside the limo ... yet was never found. The 2nd bullet struck Kennedy and Connally and was found largely intact and slightly deformed. The 3rd bullet vanished. How? The 2nd bullet followed a path. The 3rd bullet exploded on impact? It is like a magic show. Focus on the 2nd bullet and ignore the 3rd. Meanwhile, every hunter would reason from the Zapruder film that a high velocity, expanding bullet entered the president’s head from the front and blew out the back. Forget “back and to the left” and remember the First Lady climbing on the trunk back and to the left.

When someone says, “The kill shot came from a high velocity, expanding bullet from the front,” the reply would simply be, “Can’t be. Here is the trajectory. Here is the impact point in the limo. Here is the recovered bullet and fragments.” All energy was focused on the “pristine” bullet and cranking 3 shots from a cheap bolt action rifle in the allotted time.

A shot from the knoll would be at an angle of about 45 degrees to the limo (the knoll is not in front of the limo and it's not yet perpendicular to the fence (this always boithered me when I was a coinspiracist). Half way is about 45 degrees. The autoposy drawing (Robery and Jackie did not want any pictures of the brain autopsy in the Warren report or published later by magazines) shows a straight line from back to front through the right hemisphere ONLY. The left hemosphere of the brain is untouched. There was no shot from the knoll or anywhere else on the grassy/fence area for this reason but add in the other autopsy facts 1 the inside surface of the rear of JFKs skull has bevelling which is a clear forensic indicator of an entry would from the rear...2 lead fragments from the bullet left a trail in a clear forensic pattern from back to front 3 two pieces of the bullet were found in the front seat floor of the limo where a dent in the windshield frame's inner surface (shot from behind). The second part of this is the one we ALL fell for (me included for 30 years I believed conspiracy). This is the biggest piece of evidence and what everyone on starts their conspiracy journey on.... the backward movement of JFK from the headsshot. A couple of major problems here. The main preoblem with this is that the transfer of momentum from a bullet into a person isn't enough to throw their body anywhere. Mythbusters show did two segments onb this (watch the youtube 'Blown away revisited). That effect is plain Hollywood. If you do the calculation or you do the real life simulation (as Mythbusters did) you see that a body moves not distance and at most a head moves about 1-2 inches. Not the violent backward motion in the Z film. The second problem is that from frame 213 to 313 the head moves 1-2 inches FORWARD not backward. Blood and brain splatters up and forward - consistent with a shot from behind. The main reason for his violent movement backward is that when a quarter of your brain is immediately destroyed and a huge pulse of pressure goes through your skull, your legs and back (largest muscles) spams in one grande-mall contraction. The pushed JFK backward.

For example, you want to take credit for discovering that the 1st bullet perhaps struck the light pole.... ok, but then how did that bullet, shot virtually down the side of the building, strike James Tague, standing by the triple underpass? Mr Tague said he wasn't hit by the 1st shot, because he too remembered the sound of a firecracker. If LHO killed JFK, why would the doctors at Parkland and pathologists at Bethesda have completely different stories on JFK's wounds? One group said JFK's back of the head was blown off, while the Navy doctors said the back of the head was intact. You still have the issue with the pristine bullet that caused seven injuries and fell out of the Governor's thigh virtually intact... Yet the surgeon said he removed the bullet fragments from the Governor during his surgeries. And some small fragments remained in Connally, when he was buried, years later.

Take a broomstick and try to aim and track object that's moving towards you on the floor and then repeat the same with one moving away. You'll notice it is much harder to track and hold the rifle steady in the first case, as you need to ease your left hand and the target tends to go below the scope. It's pretty much the same as why it's easier to shoot target moving left to right with a handgun as opposed to one moving from right to left. It also takes much more courage and dumbness to fire a rifle in a plain and unobscured sight of the security service agents, directly in their face..

While the car approached, the president would have been somewhat obscured by the windshield, secret service members, the governor. I would imagine he had the scope on the president during that time and did not take the shot due to all the obstacles. But I bet he really considered it before deciding to wait. You have to realize his target was the president, and this would be his only opportunity.

Also there's another reason not mentioned by others. If the motorcade heard the first shot, it could have very quickly sped up and kept going down Houston Street, or even make a right on Elm. In a couple seconds it would have been out of view of Oswald and he wouldn't have a chance for a 2nd or 3rd shot. However, once the motorcade turned left onto Elm, there was no where to escape quickly. All they could do was speed up and keep going straight, all while still being within view of Oswald until it finally reached the triple overpass.

Gerald Ford moved the back wound from the back 4 to 5 inches below the shoulder blade, to the back of the neck to support the the single bullet theory. This has been common knowledge for quite awhile now. Also the Zapruder Film was hacked the weekend of the murder. Because the real film shows the car stop and JFK is hit in the head twice. This was very well documented by Doug Horne’s interview with Dino Brugioni, which used to be on KZbin but was taken down by the powers that be. Brugioni who recalled how vivid and sharp the real film was, also said the scatter from JFK’s head was high in the air and lasted much longer than what is seen in The extant film. So basically if we had all seen the real Zapruder film, we would all know that there were multiple shooters, and It definitely was a Conspiracy ( The Big Event)

The acoustics of Dealey Plaza are weird due to its shape, slope downhill, surrounding buildings, etc. If you ever go there you'll see what I mean. I happen to live in Dallas and been there many times. Lee Bowers, who was in the train tower back behind the picket fence and TSBD, testified that earlier in the summer there was construction work on the TSBD. He knew full well that's where the sound was coming from, but said it sounded like it was coming from further to the right (grassy knoll/tripld underpass). So sound and echos are weird there. That's why so many of the witnesses disagreed with where the sounds came from (most said TSBD, but many said grassy knoll/triple underpass)

I have watched and read all the representations of what every experts has said and the only conclusion I can come too is that I can't come to any conclusion....!! But one thing I can't understand... According to Texas law...if a gunshot wound leads to death then the body remains in Texas custody for the atopsopsy... SALUTE TO THAT DR who Tried in vien to keep the presidents body at the hospital. After the assassination nobody knew if this wasn't the opening volley of WWIII, a very real possibility. Nobody knew who they could trust in Dallas. It was important to get Johnson back to D.C., he wouldn't leave Jackie behind, very possibly still surrounded by danger, and she wouldn't leave without her husband's body. With visions of mushroom clouds in everybody's minds, the last thing they were sweating was some local official nobody knew stepping in front of them and saying, "Hold up there, folks, you ain't goin' nowhere." Their understandable attitude was sue us, we'll come back later and apologize assuming nuclear war hasn't broken out in the meantime.

Stone's old trope about LHO not being able to walk across the 6th floor, go down the stairs in 90 seconds is bunk. A number of people did it well within the time frame. He was a former marine and a slim guy. He would have made it easily. Next time you want to experiment...try going down 4 flights of stairs in a medium hurry, not running quite but not lazy. It takes about 30 seconds. To cross the 6th floor takes about 15-20 sec at most (7 windows, each about 8 feet wide - that's the width of a basketball court. How long would it take you to slow jog across a basketball court, even slow jog the length of 94 feet?). Being a young, fit guy he wouldn't be out of breath. Full out sprinting for over 60 sec would make a guy like that out of breath for about 10-15 sec and then recovered. Anything less and you don't go anaerobic with increased respiration. And Roy Truly testified that 90 sec they did in their re-enactment was the quickest amount of time. The problem with conspiracy thinking is, that they latch on to the easiest, quickest oddity or unexplained fact...but these facts have explanations, you just have to spend some time trying to debunk your own theories. That's what I finally did after 30 years of being duped by conspiracy thinking. Do yourself a favor and get out of the bubble and have a look around.

He did it to shut up Oswald permanently, to seal the case, and for me that's what makes the thing reek of a conspiracy.

I have always wondered why more people don’t question the rather awkward home movie style splice done as he goes behind the Stemmons Freeway sign. Anyone who was raised with parents who had an 8 mm movie camera knows that that type of splice is generally done at the Kodak processing plant you mailed the film to. It never happens in the middle of a straight shot because in order to do that, Mom or Dad have to get in a closet or under a blanket and open the camera and flip the film over in order to continue filming. Now, I guess some amateurs might be fast, as fast as Oswald doing 3 shots in 6.5 seconds without aiming for the kill shot, but I doubt anyone can open a camera and spool up the film and close the camera and match up the shot on .05 seconds is superhuman….so why did the film get cut and spliced by the Secret Service/CIA right there, and was it to hide something or to take a piece of film leading up to the head shot and work on it for a month or two before it got placed in the archives….and waiting long enough that people’s memories became unsure?

I think it’s odd that the original researchers questioned the splice and suspected all kinds of reasons for it, but it’s one of the questions that modern investigators unfamiliar with 8mm home movie cameras seem to just regard it as an artifact of it being an old film. But like watching scenes edited out “Cinema Paridiso” is a great example, a brand new piece of film doesn’t just lose a couple of frames by accident. Especially if a professional Kodak film lab did the processing as opposed to CIA supervised processing….

Best analysis of the Z film I've seen. I find the idea of the first shot before the film recommences very convincing. However, I thought he skirted over the "magic bullet" issue, i.e., that one bullet could make all those wounds on two people. And at least two people attending JFK at Parkland saw the massive wound on the back of his head and part of his cerebellum fall out on the table. Bottom line, this is the best presentation and defense of the more traditional view that I have seen, but there are just too many contrary eyewitness statements and other pieces of evidence to dismiss alternative positions (e.g., a second shooter).

What's often overlooked are the positions of JFK and Connelies jump seats relatively each other, Cornelius was lower and inboard of JFKS, and their body positiones. Don't believe Oliver Stone. You know, instead of just leaving well enough alone and saying Oswald must have had an accomplice who got away, which would have suited any conspiracy just fine. Kennedy was travelling on a downhill grade, the bullet would have altered course slightly going through him without hitting bone, and that bullet is in a condition perfectly consistent with going doing that, slowing and tumbling on leaving him, then broadsiding its way through Connally's ribs, as medical and forensic evidence clearly demonstrates: badly crushed at the nose and flattened down one side. it is well known if you are a student of this subject that the government edited the film, the main edit came as the car was behind the sign. if you watch the film it is extremely obvious it has been edited at this point due to the image is blacked out for a fraction of a second and the whole image jumps so much. there is another edit after the last shot as the driver looks back, to remove the evidence that the driver almost stops the car, presumably to let the security agent get on the car. there are vids on youtube where they interview the man who was involved in the editing

I used to have a similar camera back then and an 8mm film roll was made double width. when the first side was done you had to take it out and flip it over to expose the second half, they tried to make us believe this was what caused it but that makes no sense and an obvious lie.

Kennedy still had a faint pulse when brought into Parkland. That means the cerebellum (in the back of the skull) which controls involuntary systems was functioning a bit. Watch the documentary by Colin McLaren called "JFK The Smoking Gun." It changed my mind about what happened that day and what happened afterwards. The documentary should be free online somewhere? The documentary is based on the book called "Mortal Error." The book is based on ballistics expert's Howard Donahue's findings. His findings determined that he third shot was a accidental misfire from the secret service follow car. Kennedy's head wound was from a hollow point round from the rear. Oswald was firing full metal jack rounds. Oswald did get off two shots. First shot missing and the second shot hitting Kennedy in the back of the neck. The secret service rifle that misfired was loaded with hollow point rounds. I forget the secret service agent's name who's rifle misfired? But he's named in the documentary. Yup, the real film shows the turn on Elm from Houston St. The dark skinned man(Cuban) steps out in Elm St. and gives the military sign to stop(raised fist) the limousine driver William Greer slows the car down to a very brief stop and JFK is hit in head twice. A small amount of time searching videos on KZbin would point you to interviews with medics who were in Trauma Room 1 that day and who DO describe the throat wound as an entry wound - in fact I watched one last night.

Max Holland says at 54:14 '...Oswald fired the first shot...' This is outrageous. Lee Harvey Oswald always said he was innocent, in fact you can see online black and white news film in the Hallway of the Dallas PD, where Oswald was asked and replies ' I didn't shoot anybody' and 'I'm just a patsy'. But most of all, Oswald was NEVER CONVICTED in a court of this Assassination as he himself was shot and later died in hospital, but he always maintained he was innocent of Killing JFK. So for people to keep saying he did do it without a trial and evidence is abhorrent. Oswald was innocent. And that is a fact.

Well that was his assertion, and frankly I believe him. I think anyone attempting a high profile hit like that are going to be ideologues and highly committed to whatever cause prompted them to take action, and thus would be proud to take responsibility for what they had done and try to justify their actions, but not someone who realized they had just been set up like Oswald did. I don't think he had any idea of what was going to happen that day, cause why would he be casually, and calmly eating his lunch and having coke in the lunchroom, as the President of the U.S.A. was being assassinated, as evidenced by two witnesses (one being a cop). I think that was the first time he herd of what had happened, and quickly realized that he was probably being set up by his associations and contacts in the mob, CIA, and the FBI. And got the fuck out of Dodge real quick. If he was an accomplice at all, then he was just a low-level tool in charge of setting up the shooters perch, and giving the real shooters access into the building, but I can't see him as a trigerman, he just doesn't look like a killer. Killers don't exclaim their innocence.

If I had been an Assassin that did not want to be suspected of pulling the trigger I would not shoot the rifle from out of the window of the floor of a building I worked in and then leave my rifle behind me in an easy place to find, especially as that rifle can be traced back to me, I would take the day off work and go and stand behind the picket fence with an untraceable rifle and shoot from there I would also have a very good getaway plan, Oswald had no getaway plan and all the leads would lead back to him as the assassin, so why run away, why not stay and claim your place in History? why deny everything afterwards and claim to be "just a patsy" those are not the words of someone who wanted infamy for the Assassination of the President? Dr. Robert McClelland an Bethesda emergency room doctor states explicitly that there was a large part of the Presidents skull missing from the rear of his head and the Cerebellum fell out onto the gurney, and the doctor says he was just a few inches away from the head wound, so a bullet had blown out the back of the skull indicating at least one shot from the front possibly from behind the picket fence?

Yea an assassination from that picket fence would be significantly more difficult than the TSBD. There's trees all over giving bad visibility of the target, the target would be moving right to left with a high bearing rate, there's dozens of people within 50ft of you, people directly across from you with cameras, and you are completely exposed behind you. That southeast corner of the 6th floor of the TSBD is just perfect! Good view of target for a good amount of time, target moving directly away from you so no need to track it, easy concealment in the building before and after, plenty of time to setup and get ready without anyone able to stop you in time, and everyone and everyone's cameras looking at president, not up at a building. And finally Oswald had no interest in taking credit for killing Kennedy. He even said so when he said "They're taking me in because I living in the Soviet Union, I am just a patsy!" He wanted to be a victim. A victim of the evil capitalist, being persecuted because of his Marxist ideology.

Watch the 6th floor interview with a psychologist who offered his inputs on Oswald's state of mind. He believes Oswald had delusions of grandeur and wanted to get caught. I think it's pretty safe to say given the facts you listed, plus his wandering the streets, shooting Tippett and hanging out in a movie theater. He wanted to be known as the man who killed Kennedy, he wasn't running/hiding.

The problem about relying on the Z film is that film specialists worked on it and removed things and painted things in. Why would they go to all this trouble and allow the original to be shown? the one we have now doesn't show all of the blood splatter and hides some crucial elements according to the people who worked on it.

I’ve been to the museum also, have studied the subject for decades, and have come to the opposite conclusion: Oswald was undoubtedly the lone gunman, and nobody put him up to it or helped him do it. However, the FBI had reason to hide the fact that they had Oswald loosely under surveillance, and the CIA had reason to conceal Operation Mongoose. So they lied and withheld evidence from the Warren Commission. The WC didn’t get all the details exactly right, but they got the main things right, including the single bullet theory. I am persuaded that no conspiracy to kill Kennedy would have relied on unstable people like Oswald and Ruby.

It comes nowhere close to proving that any significant aspect of the Zapruder film was altered in any way to make it appear more likely than it really was that there was only one shooter. You, and Brugioni, also seem to be ignoring the fact that there is plenty of other evidence which corroborates the film. For example, the film shows in frames 312-313 that upon being struck by the bullet, JFK's head jerked forward several inches in only 1/18th of a second and that the "back and to the left" motion does not even start for the first time until several frames later and is many times slower than the initial forward jerk. In combination with this, the film also plainly shows in frames 313 and several following frames that the majority of the bloody spray and other material exited forward, or upward and partly forward, and that much less material exited even slightly backward. All four motorcycle policemen riding behind the limo, James Chaney, Bobby Hargis, Douglas Jackson, and Billy Joe Martin, were showered with blood and pieces of JFK's brain. But since both they and the limo were moving forward at this time, naturally they would drive into this bloody spray, even if the majority of the material exited forward from his head, because material exiting upward and slightly forward would still fall back down and land behind JFK. But all four people in front of JFK, John Connally, Nellie Connally, William Greer, and Roy Kellerman, were also showered with material from JFK's head, and such material landed all over the inside of the car including far forward of where JFK was sitting, and even landed as far forward as on the windshield and on the hood of the car. Material exiting upward and even slightly rearward, or upward and even slightly forward, would still all land behind JFK. None of that would land in front of him. So the only way so much material could have landed that far in front of him would be for that material to exit significantly forward. It also seems that you and Brugioni are ignoring the corroboration of the fact that the only exit damage clearly seen in the film is entirely in front of his right ear, with those big, horrible flaps of scalp hanging down from the upper right front of his head. Nearly all of the closest witnesses on JFK's right corroborated this, including Zapruder himself. He himself said on live television only two hours after the shooting that he saw the right side of JFK's head explode. Not the rear. The right side. And as he speaks these words we see him put his right hand on the right side of his head in front of his right ear. Emmett Hudson, Bill Newman, Gayle Newman, and Marilyn Sitzman all also said they saw the right side of his head explode. Not the rear. The side. In fact, I cannot at this moment think of even one witness who was on JFK's right at the moment of the head shot and who was also close enough to see his head clearly who said they saw the wounding appear on any other part of his head except for the right side.

Film was in custody, processed, copied, distributed and viewed by investigators and media reps way too fast to have been altered. What was Plan B if other films or evidence turn up that contradict an altered Zapruder film and confirm a conspiracy exists. Just leaving well enough alone and saying Oswald must have had an accomplice who got away would have suited any conspiracy just fine.

Many conspiracy theorists have what they believe are valid reasons as to why Oswald wasn’t the shooter based on sometimes misguided information, well my research from the Zapruder film shows this: frame 160 1st shot fired, frame 313 last shot fired, = 8.0 to 8.4 seconds total shooting time. Plenty of time to operate the bolt action Carcano rifle and fire the 3 shots. Also Oswald would spend hours practicing with the rifle and was more proficient than even so called experts. People love conspiracies, but most are blinkered and are lazy and don’t examine all of the facts.
