If Basdeo run as Prime Minister for the UNC once again, I'd vote for him. The years Pandey was in power, was the most successful and best years for Trinidad. It is truly sad he didn't stick around longer. Best Prime Minister in the history of Trinidad! 💛💛🧡🧡

He was the best PM ever in T& T and was a performer and made the country a better place was his main objective. He will always be remembered for the passion and commitment to the job as PM and had done very good things for the poor and ordinary people to lift there lives. Most of Trinidad and Tobago Politicians are all talk and gets nothing done. Panday was different. He actually led the counntry to great progress but the opportuities for the corrupt politicians were being diminished, hence the reason they had to nring such injustce against the man to take over. He is not one of the best but the greates Prime Minister Trinidad wouold ever have. Trinidadiand cannot boast about unity because there is no real unity and so the national anthem says but it's not so.

Hmm... I like Panday, and I'll admit that based on the handful of people who held the office, he's one of the best. However, corruption did not diminish, but did not increase. As for unity, we have never been united pre or post colonialism...not even close. Panday was divisive when he wanted to be. I don't really blame him for that, because that was a fire started before he ran for the top job. He is however no way near as divisive as the current leadership of the party he formed. Overall, he was a likeable character, warts and all.
