I appreciated what Ken had mentioned men need to have friends it shows that he has a life outside of having a relationship with you so you can enjoy your friends as well.

Interesting segment. Since I’m soon to be 70 things look a little different. Many men my age are great during the courting stage. They are charming, interesting and enjoy going out and maybe traveling. Then....when they think the chase has been won they bring out their comfy slippers and settle into their easy chair. They want a woman to take care of them as they grow older. Women seem to be more independent but, yes, some women may want to be taken care of also. We don’t want to be alone or die alone. Life and death get very real. I’ve passed through the dating stage and now I want to do what I want to do and when. Mostly travel😀

I like videos like this with perspective from both sides. I definitely agree about with the comments about healing and growth. I found that when I began healing I was able to let go of past resentments and bitterness. Life is so much better when this happens. Good luck everyone!

Great talk-great topic. Oh Margaret, please do more "dating over 60" videos. Recently found @AARP's "Date My Grandma" youtube series...Love it! Only problem, they don't post them on the regular.🙁 Hopefully they'll become (more) popular, and post (more) frequently. Anywho, your talk today was very informative! Thx again pal. Happy dating out there!😊💖

Great video! Hey Ken...Unfortunately, I lack male friends because I am aware of things around me and have emotions. I've tried numerous times to get together for a beer or lunch. They hide behind their wives or like to stand side by side like on a golf course, rather than face to face and talk about things. I guess I'm just a fish out of water.

As a retired psychiatrist/trained psychoanalyst I would not dare ask /therapy/ questions on first date. But rest assured I can glean attitudes towards life’s priorities as often the man is only to happy to talk about himself to an attentive woman. Also surprised these experts are focusing on shape and size of potential partner rather than their personality and love of living well, according to income. How they behave with coffee staff, numbers of close friends,if any lol Too often older N.American men want another partner because have no friends, sadly didn’t pass that grade in High School!

This is awesome information... I’ve personally discovered myself there’s all kinds of support groups and therapist that’s available as a resource ... I don’t have to struggle as much with my ignorance, meaning a lack of know how.. lol oh my ... the mental external type issue.. that is a real issue for me ... sense I do live in a small RV and have limited space... and want to travel and explore ...where size actually matters ... I’m really into self evaluation to choose better choices and become aware of mental patterns I have .. and choose choices that have a much better outcome... anyone can change if they have the ability to select choices... question is am I aware ? What choices can I choose to result in a better outcome ? If that’s growth I am all in ! Who doesn’t want more goodness out of life ? It’s all about our choices ?

Men have preferences as well. The rich men especially because they're looking for eye candy because some women go for the rich sugar daddy. I was in an adult conversation with an older gentleman, and just for the record, I am not old, but he said to the women in our conversation, that there's nothing better than the scent of a younger woman.
@Emy53
@Emy53 4 жыл бұрын
I also know a few men that were cheated on by their wives with younger men, so now they only go for a younger women to show their wives, they can attract younger women as well, and in many situations, much younger than their wives. I don't want to deal with superficial men. I rather be by myself instead of the wrong man.

First meeting shouldn’t be imposing . Don’t ask personal questions, especially about therapy, working on yourself , previous marriages, etc. Keep it general, ie things you like doing in your spare time, books read, weather , current events. The next time , if you both like museums, stroll through one.. . I’ve been to Coffee with a guy who leaned in too much, I left with no interest! Don’t asked for personal info like you are judging or writing a book!!!!!!!!!

very interesting video, I am 75 and have a lady friend who is 72, I was surprised about both your guests,having the same feelings about men who do or don't have men friends. I never thought of that, but gladly I have my three best friends, two I worked with, one is 77, and one is 75, I have known them as close friends for 40 or 45 years, the third buddy is a youngster,LOL he's only about 53, have known him for about 15 years,we are Lodge Brothers. I have wondered if my dear friend thought that was good or bad. Thank you. by the way, you are very beautiful,and quite disarming yourself.
