It's funny how people love to waste their time just to watch any video of DJ and leave a hateful comment. You don't like this guy? Don't watch the video. Don't like this band/song? Don't watch the video. Just skip it. Go outside, get some fresh air, maybe talk to your girlfriend or a dog, whatever. I like the way DJ play. I like his style. I love watching guitar players hands when they play and I love this song. I think it's awesome. I can't wait to hear the new album and see them in June. And yes, I think DJ is not only a talented guy, but also a really nice person. It's "funny" how some people don't even know what does "DJ" in "DJ Ashba" mean (Daren Jay = DJ. You're welcome, you don't have to google it now), but they're so ready to bitch on his PERSONALITY and judge his character by just watching a video of him playing guitar #fucklogic

P.S. Good music can be simple. If you look at the main starting riff, you can play it after seeing it two times and it sounds awesome.

It truly kills me that people feel they have to leave terribly nasty comments on here to be noticed. If you don't like the man, the band or the genre of music then don't listen. He's stated repeatedly he't not a teacher so why ridicule him on his style or technique? He's an amazing guitar player in my opinion. Again if you don't like it don't listen. I find these guitar world clips really interesting and pretty informative. Thank you DJ for putting your style out there for those of us who really enjoy it!

Well I'll just tell you my opinion I think he does an absolute awesome job and I can hear something I haven't in years in his music . He feels what he plays and if you know anything at all about music you can feel it as well. I can hear and feel some real genious in his playing . Keep up the fantastic work . DJ Ashba is a good guitarist. IMHO not amazing and not terrible. I think a lot of people hate on him because he became highly successful without being a standout player. But you can’t deny he paid his dues to get where he is and he’s passionate about music

When you play in Drop D you can get away with riffs like this. We all do it. The more complicated it is the more it gets crowded and muddy. Most hit songs are catchy with easy riffs. He's got to tour and play this song 200 times so why make it difficult?
