The idea that Shaun tried to end everything only two years ago really makes me sick to my stomach. I've listened to his music on a weekly, sometimes daily basis for 10 years+ and the thought that he couldn't cope/was hurting too much just makes me want to punch past all this you're famous and I'm a fan and reach out as a human that just gives a shit and ask what we can do to try and even just momentarily change your mind frame. I don't know if it would help at all but it's worth trying everything. I wish my friend had told me she was suicidal two years ago, I would have done anything to not let her leave this world.
@jasonjewell63997 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is a very tough issue to deal with. My brother I never knew was suicide and killed himself.I never knew he had any suicidal thoughts. I wish he just would have sat down and talked to me. Suicide never gets rid of their problems it just gives them to someone else.

Shaun Morgan is a saint. I don't think he's truly been told nor shown how his music has helped save so many people. His melodic voice & heartfelt guitar notes have spoken directly to the hearts of so many wounded souls. And to think he tried to commit suicide is horrific on so many levels. God bless this man. Hang in there Shaun. You are a blessing.

It's sad and disturbing to know the first time I saw Seether in 2015, Shaun was ready to end his life. It didn't show at the time. I was worried after I saw him again in Philly in 2017. He seemed really down, and Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington had just committed suicide. Their deaths saturated the news that summer, and I was afraid it would get to him. It doesn't seem to occur to Shaun how deeply loved and valued he is, which is frustrating. Depression is fucking cancer.

I didn't know what could make me like these 2 guys more? But after watching and listening to the way Shawn and Nikki talk about how they feel on different issues and people in society today, struck a GOOD nerve with me. Because it's almost identical to how I feel!!! Serious!! I'm not just saying this to prove what a big fan I am. But the way Shawn gets so irritated when talking about these worthless-no-talent-godless-liars: that mislead our youth in horrible directions!!! (I need to stop that now). But anyway... Thank You for the video!! It really helped me with some things I been dealing with. It's good to hear when someone like Nikki Sixxx and Shawn Morgan talk about dealing with the same kind of depression and things as I do. It's things like this that actually help me get out of bed some days. So thank You again!!!

Reading through the comments on this I kinda feel a little bit special because I was around in the Johannesburg rock and club scene in the late 90`s and got not only to see Saron Gas play many times but also got to meet and play many games of Pool against Shaun at various venues in Johannesburg and Pretoria, I also was so very lucky to get in to a nightclub in a town called Edenvale called The Doors Nightclub to see their final gig as Saron Gas before they packed up and shipped out to the U.S to become Seether...a very very special place to be at a very very special point in time... I`m so damn proud of what they have accomplished over the last 20 years since leaving the broken wasteland that is South Africa!

I used to think I liked Wind Up because in the early 2000s they had a lot of great bands including Breaking Point, Drowning Pool, Dust for Life, 12 Stones, Submersed, Finger Eleven, Alter Bridge etc. and then I realized that they didn't promote well at all. Now I hear from Shaun that they criticized his songwriting and I just think that is ridiculous. He writes great lyrics, great riffs, and he can do hard songs to softer emo ballads. Screw them. Shaun and Seether rule!

I have always enjoyed listening to seether, Its my type of music, I grew up in NH and listened to all kinds of banks throughout my life, my favorite bands were Nirvana, Korn, sound garden, pearl jam, Metalica, suicidal tendencies, etc etc etc wich is basically the same music shaun Morgan grew up listening to. I also think that after hearing this interview we think alot like when it comes to the world and the people who are paying to hear any of the Kardashians, or the cash me outside idiot to speak, I have said it a million times, it is that type of crowd and those type of people who are literally burning the world to the ground with their bubble of delusion. The way they live their lives with zero integrity, and completely oblivious to the reality of today. I mean the kardashians are more fake than trump poretending he is a president and they are influencing an entire generation of american teens and younger. telling them that all you need to be famous, and make millions is the willingness to be fake, and do anything for publicity even going so far as to mary a basket ball player who really loved kim K as nothing more than a publicity stunt. crushing people and wlking over the bodies like its nothing. The state of the world is insane, and getting worse. I am glad that I have good music to reflect on my life and the world today at least thats soething thanks to guys like Shaun Morgan and others. I feel for you Shaun, I also had a fucked up childhood with a fucked up mom who was more interested in drinking and partying than raising her kids. I also went to go live with my dad when my mom had enough of me and my brothers and sister. My only regret is that I never picked up an instrument to help me cope, had i done that I may have been making albums and helping others to cope with their lives.
