Ever since we started the show Udume Ngani on MK TV we’ve attracted a number of people around the country. But what’s more interesting is discovering that the letters we receive on daily bases are mostly from young people.
Myself and Udume Ngani team went to Durban after receiving a letter from Ayanda Mkhize, former Amazulu football player, who was also impressed by a talented Paul Ndlovu he once came a cross in Durban. Paul is a poet and because of many life challenges he found himself on the streets of Durban. I sat with this talented man as he narrated his life story alongside his poems. Impressively, his poems are around love, putting a stop to women and children abuse and the last one was Tell a friend.
We also learnt that another young man Sphe Mthalane saw it fit to assist where he could by sponsoring Paul with cloths from his clothing brand, Noted. He didn’t look down on Paul but saw a need to help where he could.
What’s more impressive about all of this is that almost all the interviews we’ve shot were sponsored by young people and they are the ones who are always writing to us. This shows they use the opportunities around them and help uplift each other. Big ups to that.
Also a big thank you to all our sponsors, much appreciated.
