Today Savilles' Travels take you to the Largest island Resort in the Maldives - Siyam World
I'd love it if you would SUBSCRIBE to my Channel -kzbin.info/door/ILIKACG3j_e1Tvl-qK90lg
Set over 54 hectares with so much for families to enjoy including multiple tennis courts, a world-class spa and the biggest floating water park this All inclusive island is a fantastic option
The WOW All-Inclusive Plan with dine-around options for dinner are world class, along with unlimited beverages including Champagne, Aperol, Baileys etc, an in-villa mini bar and complimentary excursion makes this really feel like pure luxury
We travelled as a family and personally I feel that is what the island is best at offering, I wouldn't choose for my honeymoon as I would enjoy a smaller more relaxed resort
There is a wide selection of accommodation with villas set just steps from the shoreline or perched directly over the lagoon - we stayed in the Lagoon Villa with Pool & Slide and I have made a separate video tour of this
The service is outstanding with your own Ambassador who will help you with anything you need during your stay
Our stay was during July/August so we expected rain but maybe not as much as we got so please bear this in mind when booking. Also the wind was very strong making deeper sea snorkelling impossible for us and visibility from our room very limiting. I think we were fairly unlucky as it is not always like this in the rainy season
NEGATIVES...
I'm afraid I had a huge one during our stay (July/August 2022) - I have dated this as the resort are currently trying to rectify this problem
The pools (all of the pools) are affected by bad workmanship meaning that several tiles are missing leaving behind very sharp edges and many people daily on the island were cutting their feet. This then means you cannot get the area wet so no swimming! Jugali pool was closed towards the end of our holiday for them to refurbish it (crazy when it was opened in October 2021). I would advise anyone going to buy coral shoes and wear these in the pools. Our lagoon villa pool was affected too but I saw workman working on other villas so in the future I would hope this will not be a problem. Workmanship around the whole resort is also quite poor with raw tile edge steps and small steps in bizarre places causing trip hazards. I'm not trying to put you off, I believe a review should be honest and this was my finding.
Lastly, if you are not bothered about all the activities and several restaurants I would go to a different island that will give you a much better coral reef to snorkel in
However if you want a memorable family holiday I don't think it can get much better than this
Would I go again...yes to the Maldives but I never return to exactly the same spot. I believe once they have fixed the teething problems this island will be the best family resort in the Maldives
