Hallo Sebastian, sehr hilfreiches Video -danke! Ist der Unterschied zwischen dem normalen und dem THIN- Backwing deutlich spürbar? Viele Grüße Andreas

And all of a sudden Goyard turns up with a 430 frontwing!

one more question: which wing would you use with gusty wind, let's say 10-20 knots?
@Stefan-Foil3 жыл бұрын
Hello! What sailsize you use in 15-20 knots? And whats the smaller sail you use for foiling with the 650 wing?
@marquis.de.france3 жыл бұрын
You briefly talked about your speed foil configuration with the 550cm2 wing. What fuselage do you use in that case? 115 black? 95+?

What sail do you use for your light wind setup?

Hi Preparados, This is Sebastian's response: Not sure yet, it will be either a 9 or a 10. I like the easy gybe on the 9 and the overall agility, but when it comes to marginal racing conditions I may need the raw power of the 10.

Can you use it without foil, with a fin like windsurf normal ?
@IvanWindsurfing4 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you’d want to. Foil boards are generally very uncomfortable on the fin because you are not on the rail of the board and are in a more upright position when on a fin you really want to be pushing on the rail and the fin.
@tubby_dug4 жыл бұрын
Straight up no! If you go on the starboard website and look at the bottom shape of the board its totally made for foiling and cutaways, rocker line and bottom shaping just wont work.

Hi Eddy as Ivan and Doug already pointed out this board is not designed to be used with a Fin. If you would like to have a board that you can use both for windsurf and foil our 2021 133 carve will be designed as foil ready (this model will be launched early 2021) and our Futura 71, 77 and 86 are also Foil Ready. windsurf.star-board.com/products/futura/ .

@@StarboardWindsurfing hello, thanks for your answer. What I 'm looking for is an easy bord not to typed (race, ...) because the foodstraps are to extern. And I'm 100kg. When start 40 ears ago I was 75kg. And it's a real problem those kg. I ask me if I don't try the go 155 because there are a lot of possibilities for the straps. But I want also to get ready on planing. Are many cm is the flat of the go 155lt ? Can you tell me ? Eddy
@StarboardWindsurfing4 жыл бұрын
@@eddyneerdael6303 if you don't want to foil the Go155 can be a really good option to get back into windsurfing and planing. the inboard footstrap positions of the Go and it's shape make it super easy to get and stay planing. If you would like to get into foiling rather than planing our freeride foil boards might be a very good option as well. maybe you should decide based on the conditions on your homespot. if you would like to do both we recommend the new 133 Carve that comes out soon. Hope this helps.

Sebastian, are you saying you don't need a bigger front wing as 725 at all ??
@StarboardWindsurfing4 жыл бұрын
Hi Marko This is Sebastian's Reply: Not for slalom foil. It is all about reducing the drag underwater and the best thing to do that is with a small wing. Better to use a big sail than a big wing if you want to go fast on a slalom course. For upwind/downwind I use the biggest wings in the range like the 1000

@@StarboardWindsurfing Many thanks, I thought all my old wings are useless ! But can you foil in 5 kt with 725 ?
@adbouwens11112 жыл бұрын
Nice advanced material but who can afford it? Board 2000 €, the foil, 1600, sail 800-900 mast 400-500, boom 200!! Younger ( but also older) people can no longer afford it. The equipment looks nice, but is fragile. it's too specialized. A novice surfer never learns on such an expensive set. The sport is losing a new (young) generation. Windsurf companies should make sport more accessible: cheaper boards, cheaper riggs and show less extreme pictures and videos. A worried windsurfer.
