@SMWX 😢thanks for trying to explain the issue going on in DRC and Rwanda...however, you made a BIG mistake and I urge to do a throughout research before coming here and tell millions people lies about what happened in Rwanda..1.the genocide was not committed by the Hutus.. .it was committed by a group of people < Hutus and some Tutsis>called [ INTERAHAMWE] = which means by the way ; those who come together The Tutsis had their group of rebel called < INKOTANYI> meaning Those who fight together 2. Those who flee in massive to DRC are the Hutus . 3. Banyamulenge are *Looks like Tutsi* Congolese ,yes speaks similar language to Kinyarwanda 4.Banyabwisha , Bahutu also found in DRC also speaks Kinyabwisha/kihutu also similar to Kinyarwanda...The Tusti < Inkotanyi> invaded Rwanda in 1990 from Uganda where they were refugees for 30 years , after they left Rwanda simply because they didnt want to have a Hutu as a President aftet their RULED, ENSLAVED the Hutus for more than 200years, Tustis in Rwanda sent their children to Uganda to fight along with the rebels and their parents contributed in buying guns that were being used to kill mainly the Hutus....and that 🙄 may have caused the anger 😠 between the Tutsis and Hutus whitin the country leading to what happened in 1994 after the Rebel leader/Tutsi killed a Hutu President 😢 instigating the genocide. 5. Same time ,in 1990 the Tutsi like in Congo Banyamulenge , sent their children to Uganda as well to help their look like Tutsi, same as the refugees Tutsi who went to DRC in 1959 for the same reason with those who went to Uganda...and these same people , banyamulenge along with Inkotanyi fought along in 1996 in Congo killing the Hutus refugees who run away in 1994 and some Congolese ppl died along. They went on to take power and replacing a new President and that caused the conflict between banyamulenge and other tribes of Congo ***why these people keep fighting along with Rwandans *Tutsis *Killing the Congolese 😢? Along while hunting the Hutus people like they are animals 😢 Pls next time , do a little bit of research before saying things you don't understand well. ESPECIALLY USING FOREIGN LANGUAGE . PEACE TO ALL. #AllLivesMatters

Thank you for your interest in discussing the history and identity of people who speak Kinyarwanda in Congo. However, I must respectfully clarify a common misconception in your assertion that those who speak Kinyarwanda in Congo are exclusively people who fled Rwanda during the 1994 Genocide. This is simply not true and overlooks the deeper historical context of the region. As someone with firsthand knowledge and family history, I can confidently say that my ancestors-my great-grandparents and even generations before them-lived in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo well over 100 years ago. They were already established in the region long before the events of 1994 or even the independence of African nations. This reality is a direct result of the colonial borders created by European powers during the Berlin Conference of 1884-1885. These arbitrary borders divided communities that shared the same language, culture, and traditions, placing them in different countries without consideration of their historical ties. As a result, many Kinyarwanda-speaking communities have lived in Congo for centuries, maintaining their language and cultural identity while contributing to the region's diversity. It is important to recognize this historical context and avoid conflating the presence of Kinyarwanda-speaking people in Congo with more recent events. Such generalizations can perpetuate misunderstandings and marginalize communities with deep historical roots in the region. I appreciate your commitment to reporting and would be happy to provide more information or connect you with experts who can shed light on this complex and nuanced history.

we stand with DRC. This is what is happening in congo: Just because they call themselves Congolese doesn't mean they are . There has never been any tribe called Banyamurenge in congo . These are the refugees who ran from civil war in Rwanda. Congo accepted them as refugee with compassion. Now when Laurent Desire Kabila toppled Mobutu, he was aided militarily by Rwanda and Burundi, then when He got the power he said to his allies to go back to their countries for their payments will be respected but they in turn didn't want to go back to their countries that is why their went to hide among the refugees in the eastern part of the congo and started the war. When they started they weren't strong until all the west superpowers got behind Rwanda and wished to keep the instability going so that they can continue to loot the DRCongo . Now After a very long time, this group feels empowered enough and start laying claims of that side of the country of congo as their own share of land . this is insane , if that that Land was poor in resource they wouldn't have done that ! Our presence here dates back generations, long before colonial borders divided communities that shared cultural and linguistic ties. It is harmful to perpetuate the false narrative that we are not Congolese, as this has fueled discrimination and violence against us. Today, we face attacks from foreign mercenaries-some from South Africa and Europe-who, alongside groups like the FDLR and with the support of President Tshisekedi, are targeting and killing us in our own country. Ya remember that Congo invited Some off investors to mine in the Congo and those are legal investors that helps Congo economy unlike the lootings off the many 136 rebel groups funded by outside influences and Rwanda and Uganda used as shipment lands for looted Congo Resources. There are China investors as well invited by Congo through their trade deals but The M23 supported by Rwanda and Uganda having their rebels as well on different area is uncall for. Kagame can't hide it anymore it's known his illegal evil looting ways are not helping Africa to lessen the ongoing wars and Displacements. Lets say those Tutsi in Goma area are Congolese but it doesn't give Kagame and Museveni to be supporting this rebel groups even when they are off same tribes. They are in two different countries let Congo and the Tutsi Congololease find their ways to resolve their cultural differences than illigally seeing a proud war monger M23 glorifying some dumb war take over and even thinking off Using the looted Goma resources to fund the ongoing rebel illigal take over a Democratic elected Congo gov. It's not like all off Congo don't want it's leaders it's this few M23 thugs used by Others playing the illigal way to secure more lands that they are not suppose to be doing. SADC with UN needs to remove the peacemaking troops and casualties from that Goma area and from other areas then send real fighters to go assist Congo. Kagame and Museveni are war mongers they not going to stop but push to control Congo using this rebel groups. It's time now to end this madness it's illigal according to the laws especially fighting another country elected gov. Remember that not all Congolese support a military take over like Borkino Faso and Mali and Niger. It's a squabble for resources by nearby nations and other international groups through the many rebels active in the Congo. SA should not be going back and forth with Rwanda or Museveni in any talks after SA peacekeeping troops are let go from that M23 hostage situation going on but let the AU, SADC UN and other partners strategize on getting all their business investors out off Rwanda and Uganda then pull out all its Diplomatic Ties with Rwanda and Uganda allowing them to do the same. Then Send real fighters to assist Congo push out all the rebel groups out off Congo. We can't allow this war mongers talk thrash about any Country that's the stick Rwanda and Uganda deserve until they come back into their rational self to work fairly with everybody.

@@SamkeloCollenSjemadejazz-ne3xy Hello SamKelo, I guess you are from South Africa. You guys lived in Apartheid, and you are still struggling with the issues of it now. So let me give you one more hint about DRC, this country was created in Berlin in 1884 as the property of a Belgian King, it is a chunk of land that was put together for the benefit of one greedy man, forgetting the inhabitant. The people were mistreated and massacred, ... Congo is a more diverse country with hundreds of tribes. Among them, there are some who speak Kinyarwanda. Even more a huge chunk of Rwanda was added to Congo after World War One. Rwanda was a country and has always been, it resisted colonial to such an extent that it negotiated with Germany who were coming from the east to protect itself from Belgians who were coming from the west and ended up becoming a German colony. After Germany lost the WWI Rwanda became a trustee of Belgium under UN mandate and Belgians got the opportunity to annex more land of Rwanda to Congo, that is how Rwanda lost North Kivu. You can look at the Map of Rwanda before Colonials - don't be lazy type that in Google and see it yourself. Again, it is obvious that the part Rwanda annexed to Congo by Belgians has the same social construct as Rwanda. Other people who lived further in the south of Kivu called Banyamurenge also have close ties to Rwanda and speak Kinyarwanda as well, all together they were refused their rights as Congolese citizens since the independence in the 1960s. Without going into detail about the inability of the Congolese government to protect the integrity of its territory and to ensure the security of citizens. At the end of the Tutsi genocide in 1994, the genocidal government sought a safe harbor in that land, and it kept doing what it did in Rwanda, killing local people, Tutsis and Hutus, and pushing them to flee to neighboring countries and all around the world. In addition to UN missions, there have been so many joint operations of Congo and Rwanda into that region trying to neutralize the genocidal but their ideology in local people kept rising, creating more chaos and driving more people outside the country. The vacuum left by this weakness of the government and the increasing violence resulted in the birth of many armed groups among them the FDLR by the remanent of genocidals, it grew because of abundant natural resources and it is a serious threat to Rwanda. M23 was born out of mutineers soldiers of the Congo national forces who are mostly from that region of Congo. These people were members of the Congolese army protecting a country, but back home, the chaos of FDLR and other armed groups was killing their families whereas other families in refugee camps could not return home. In addition, in other parts of the country, the insecurity keeps growing, in south kivu armed groups are attacking villages of Banyamurenge, killing castles, burning villages, and looting, ... THIS IS THE CAUSE OF THE CURRENT WAR. So to speak faster, here came to power Felix Tshiseked, a tribalist who denies that the people who speak Kinyarwanda are not Congolese!! He called all armed groups including FDLR to form a coalition with the FARDC aiming to eliminate all Kinyarwanda-speaking people! He even created his own group of the famous WAZALENDO you said above. He called the help of SADEC - Burundi, Tanzania, South Africa, Malawi to help him to kill his own people! The situation in eastern Congo deteriorated to the point where these famous Wazalendo are killing people and EATING THE CORPSES !!! If you want proof, there are some on Twitter, youtube,... FDLR openly became of FARDC, the hatred against Tutsi and Rwanda speaking people became the main goal and Tchisekedi went far to say that he want to change the regime in Rwanda. And his ally of Burindi, president NEVA repeated the same and he deployed his help and trained his own IMBERAKURE. So what is in it for Ramaphosa? At this point, none can tell! One can only guess that it is resources. He visited Rwanda in April 2024, he said that he understood what is going on in east DRC but when he left, he diployed his SANDF_ZA on the side of that Tshisekedi coalition. You say you spoke to a Wazalendo! Well, those are just victims of Genocidal and hatred of kinyarwanda speaker ideologies amplified by Tshisekedi. I guess now you understand the origin of M23, why it is fighting, and why Rwanda is mostly heard on the side of M23. After all, it is the security of Rwanda put in jeopardy here, and after the genocide of Tutsis in 1994, it is NEVER AGAIN to happen in where is the world.

The persistent instability in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a stark reminder of the failure of leadership across the region and the continent. This conflict, like many others in Africa, is not only avoidable but also an unnecessary drain on resources that our nations can scarcely afford. Instead of fostering unity and development, political and economic mismanagement have allowed external and internal forces to exploit divisions for their own gain. True leadership demands a commitment to diplomacy, regional cooperation, and sustainable solutions that prioritize the well-being of the people. African leaders must take full responsibility for ensuring peace and security, working towards a future where resources are used to build rather than destroy. It is imperative that we shift from reactive crisis management to proactive governance that upholds stability, economic prosperity, and the dignity of our people. The time for decisive action is now-Africa must lead its own path to lasting peace and progress.

You are a positive minded young man. The SADEC is there fighting against M23 alongside FARDC and its allies, including SANDF. So, they are part of the battle, and SA understands that SANDF will fight without being killed or become war hostages when they lose the battle. Ramaphosa is just playing dirty games and confusing the People of SA to avoid accountability for the lost lives of soldiers involved in other businesses other than Peace keeping

we stand with DRC. M23 has never been Congolese

You don't have to be an expert in geopolitic to understand the root of the conflict in DRC. Rwanda is exporting more than 150 tonnes of coltan every month. And he doesn't have in his country. Don't Amalgam this war with the social issues that we can resolve without killing more than 10 million Congoleses who has been killing so far since this conflict.

Has Kagame succeeded in convincing you that his M23 militia is fighting for the rights of so-called discriminated Tutsis in the DRC yet? Don’t be fooled-he has used and will continue to use endless excuses to justify his actions. If discrimination were truly the issue, ask him this: When did it begin? From the creation of the Congo in 1887 until 1994, people in Eastern Congo lived in peace. The Rwandan refugees who arrived in 1954 were welcomed, given land, prospered, and even obtained Congolese citizenship. Today, they own many of the grandest homes and boats along Lake Kivu. So, what changed after 1994? That year, following another ethnic conflict in Rwanda, Kagame invaded the DRC under the pretense of pursuing Hutus. In the process, his forces massacred millions of Congolese in what is known as a campaign of population replacement and land seizure. He repeated this in 1996, this time alongside Museveni, launching another invasion that led to even more Congolese deaths and the overthrow of President Mobutu in Kinshasa. Now, do you Kagame think the few Congolese who miraculously survived have even the slightest right of reclaiming their homes, now occupied by strangers? Or do you simply distort the truth, portraying Tutsis as victims of discrimination-conveniently omitting the real history of conflict and aggression? Who, then, is truly responsible for disturbing the peace? If there are people who can talk about abuses, discrimination, war crimes and genocide, it’s the Congolese people.

The bad news is that the SANDF soldiers in Goma are currently in a ‘hostage’ situation. They cant leave their basis. The good news is that M23 don’t have a direct grudge against them. In fact they are trying to stay clear of the South Africans where possible. Their primary job is to ensure that ‘the right people’ have exclusive access to the mineral fields. Picking a fight with South Africans, who at least offered some resistance, isn’t part of what they want. That is as long as the South Africans stay away from the mineral fields.

Just because you're a Tswana from Botswana, for example, you think can violate the sovereignty of South Africa when the SA Tswana people are being persecuted. It doesn't work that way. The best that a Botswana government could do is through diplomatic means and through international forums like UN, AU, SADC. What you are condoning sir is nothing but tribalism of Kagame.
