I am blessed to be married to a Filipina wife who is a wonderful cook. I get to eat like this all the time at home. Not quite the meat and potatoes diet I grew up with in the Midwest, but much of it has grown on me as real comfort food.

Love your shirt girl. I watched Grease 2 in 1984 the day I met my now husband I was 14 he was 15. We got married when he was 21 and I was 20. But that movie has a special place in my heart. Because I saw it the first time I met the love of my life hehe.

I love when you guys go off the strip! The best food in most towns are where the locals eat. While Vegas is better than most (in recent years) for good hotel food, I still love smaller hidden gems! And ITA that Catherine has seamlessly fit in and was instantly a pro at this IMHO. Sometimes when someone joins an existing channel the chemistry changes, usually not for the better...but it's like you guys were made to do this together!!!! :D

To non Filipinos, always eat everything with rice, especially soup and fish. Rice is life with every Filipino food. Without rice, some would taste off. As for halo halo, always mix everything before eating them. And. Tastes would differ depends on how it's prepared. It can be a hit or miss. I love leche flan for dessert. It's always good. Halo halo as I've said can be a hit or miss.

Just a few observations here, one being a little more important than the others. The fish would definitely be on the to get list. That dessert was unique to say the least, and I would try it due to ya'll giving it a thumbs up. But the "Whaaaatttt" Oberservation would be that there was right there on the menu "FRIED CHICKEN" and for an extra $4 you could do a share plate. Not one word from Derek about Fried Chicken. One would have to think that maybe, just maybe before the filming of this video that Catherine grabbed Derek by the ear and said" Do not say a word about it" and "Do Not Order Fried Chicken" lol.

I lived in the Philippines for two years when I was a kid. It was a lot of fun and I loved the food in Angeles City! It was early 1970s before the fusion revolution. I have yet to taste Filipino food that good in this country. I keep searching and next time I visit Vegas Ill try this place! Once again, you guys are great and continually give me new ideas and options.

While Asian cultures balance the fatty proteins with vinegar sauces, Eastern Europeans tend to do something similar by serving pickle varieties with the proteins.

I grew up near the train tracks where sisig was invented by Aling Lucing in Angeles City, Phils. Everything checks off including the sizzling plate except the sisig's cut is bigger, should be way smaller than that. Big cuts means the sisig becomes chewy.
