I am here because I am looking for an honest review about SJ6 vs Gropo hero 5. Thank you for your helpful and honest review. I've decided to buy SJ6 and it saved me some bucks.

Been browsing through your channel, you seem to be the king of action cameras ! I was surprised at how much smoother the sjcam was against the GoPro. Image was better on GoPro but considering the cost difference, I can live with it :-) Love your voice, you need to use that great voice in radio or tv.

haha, I am not the king of action cameras, just love using them, well, all cameras that take video honestly :) The SJ6 legend is a good camera considering it's price compared to the GoPro, but there is a reason why GoPro is the king of the action camera market. Thanks for the compliment, I used to work Radio back in the 80's/90's and only thing on TV was some acting in a few movies then behind the scenes. Thanks for watching !

The gyro on the SJ6 from what I see destroys the Hero 5, it looks like its floating compared to the Gopro

Good morning from clogland mate, nice comparison video. The stabilization on the SJ6 was very impressive compared to the Hero 5 which truthfully I was very dissapointed with. Colour on the SJ6 was slightly off but not unacceptable. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming :-)

With each firmware release each of their camera's get better and better. One thing about SJCAM that I really like it that they are constantly releasing new firmwares on all of their cameras with the goal of constant improvement.

quick question, how do I get to the distortion correction and color tabs in the menu ? mine are gray and I cannot get into them

I'll check, but I don't think you can run distortion correction & image stabilization at the same time on the SJ6.

I am using the SJ6 LEgend with firmware version 1.5.1 and it seems like the color is more to the darker side, making videos (both daytime and nighttime) appeared darker and more contrast. Is this normal or do I need to adjust something?

I am still waiting for SJCAM to send me the SJ7 to test and review. I like the SJ6 Legend and really like the SJ5000x Elite as well. Being that the SJ7 is a "true" 4k I would say that it was worth the difference in price, but since I have not tested it yet, I can't really can't give my recommendation yet

Jeep Xj Libzo: Sure I can do a mic test of the SJ6, but as far as the SJ7 STAR, I don't have one and they are not getting released until mid/late February but once I get one, I will DEFINITELY do a comparison against the GoPro Hero 5 as I "think" the SJ7 might just be the GoPro killer :-) Thanks for watching !

Gyro on SJ7 is not working this good with BETA firmware, so we need to wait for FW update. On my channel there are two vids of me walking in house with gyro on and off on SJ7

hello friend .. a question .. the camera thieye t5 can be used as a webcam right? .. now .. it is assumed that when you connect it to usb to the pc, should it show a dialog that of the webcam option? true? .. I buy one and apparently everything works well except that option to connect it as a webcam .. I updated the firmware to see what happened and nothing .. remains the same .. will not that option comes out when you connect it through the port hdmi? is that as I do not have that cable I have not tried that option ..

Great video. I am contemplating on buying this and the Gyro does look very compelling especially given the price point and the fact that I dont need to buy a separate 3 axis gimball !! Quick question though; is the sharpness greatly reduced because of this? The treelines, object outlines, pavement etc seem more sharper in the Go Pro. I have not heard anybody else mention this so was wondering if it is only me :-) who felt that way.

the new firmware update says (V1.4.3 20170111) 2. Modified Gyroscope: Gyro is disabled when FOV is turned on. can some1 tell me how to disable FOV because the only option i get in in FOV is Wide, Narrow,Middle. i dont want Gyro to be disabled

SJ7 had many bugs when is on sale, now is better. However, the Aluminium body(frame) feels very good :D. Because of A12 chipset, heating is a big problem.
