I love how he is still finding vanilla stuff and thinking it's modded like the Powder Snow. Maybe a new series of just standard vanilla Minecraft all advancement should be in the cards. It would teach him more about the base game because that helps you play modded more efficiently. I don't think he has played vanilla since the early KZbin days.

I think the snow sinking thing is actually just a vanilla mechanic. Again I will point out the Occultism storage system as a top choice for magic storage

Yeah, the Occultism Storage is quite OP even when you aren't restricting yourself to magic mod, it's quite cheap and has tons of space even at the lowest tier

On the other hand, while it is OP, the Ars Nouveau Storage Lectern is also a choice, and one that he can reach much earlier.

@@Minase636 Excellent, it's a somewhat new addition with 1.20 I believe, but baileyholl2 (the author) made a big announcement about it when it launched, and now it's the only storage solution I use. Requires no electricity (or any equivalent, including source) and you can even rig it to have a wireless remote, which I outlined how to use in a video I made on this account. Protip, Enchanter's Eye, Scrying Crystal and Interact spell for infinite range access (though not in the nether, sadly).

Occultism will be necessary for a magic focused playthrough. Its the best option for magic-based mass storage, rivaling even Refined Storage and AE2 in some ways. It also has 6x ore multiplying, better than even Mekanism. Familiars can do all sorts of things, including easy and infinite fire resistance for becoming lava proof. Evilcraft is also very important, especially in the early game. It gives access to a guaranteed Fortune 5 pickaxe (which, combined with Botania, can easily become Fortune 8, the highest I brlieve is possible), very important for gathering resources. It can repair tools, helping save resources and your best tools until you get indestructible tools. And it can provide access to easy Blaze Rods without need of a Blaze farm (you do need a rod or a Blaze Powder at least, but that's not the same as a full farm). It actually provides a cheap option for mob farms too, though Mahou Tsukai is probably the best magic option for those.

I suspect he might just rely on ore hammers, at least for some of the series, instead of fast-tracking any demon summoning. And even in my ATM9 machine-inclusive run, I quickly had more metals than I knew what to do with, so adding Fortune 8 to that would merely have given me further inventory problems. The evilcraft tool repair though, that does sound kinda nice, though it seems he's already got an Inferium Sword, so maybe he's doing that route, which would make it moot at the last stages.

@@K1kk0m4n1 Dunno if it causes lag, but there's an Ars Nouveau x Occultism addon mod that allows you to put those Occultism summoned demons into Ars Nouveau containement jars, and it makes the demons permanent, and able to be interacted with or automated. It's called Ars Ocultas, and is def worth having.

I love using the Fortress Campsite and it's the foundation for the first true Minecolonies Medieval Castle style which is my personal favorite. It can be a very compact style or you can make it very expansive depending upon how much room you put between the outer walls and the fortress town hall/castle* or additional walled off sections for agriculture or manufacturing. Or if you just want to use it by itself like Sjin, you can put it within a chunk and just chunkload it and dig out the ground below it for farms, storage, and a mine until you finish building your "dream base". I'm not that great of a builder so I also like using the PreFab mod because it has some really nice looking large homes that are great as the beginning of a base. And there are several other PreFab builds that are useful. *Note: The large barracks form the front of the castle structure so there is a set limit for the distance between the main gate and the town hall, but the other three sides are free reign.

As far as I know you can use normal botany pots with those pipez but you need a puller upgrade I think it called, so its much easier to hopper ones!

Be careful with Ars spells if you plan to make a city, in new versions those with reactions are friendly fire. Cold snap, Flare, and Discharge can randomly damage nearby targets and it kills a few of my guards.

If I knew coding, I'd maybe spend time taking mods that conflict and making modpacks where not only do I try to alleviate the conflicting, but make them interact with each other. Like a yeti from mod 1 likes to eat arctic iron from mod 2.

What's the cinematic mod? It's not replay mod as that's not forge compatible anymore unless I use fabric api for it, but then if I did that the forge version wouldn't be correct

I think Minecolonies in the background would be fine. Sure the last few series have been focusing on them, especially that Byzantine one, but if it's just setting buildings to be built then covering other mods, it should hardly be noticeable.

@@sjin ha-ha yeah, I kind of figured because I started up with this modpack and I kept finding tridents in village loot chests and I even found one in a dungeon, and I kept finding those charm stone things to increase your stats on your weapons and armor and I kept finding ones that were good for tridents lol!
