Really cool functionality and really nice drone.. I'm honestly not interested in doing any waypoint missions or anything which engages the drone to fly automatically.. Lol I don't even use RTH ever! Only failsafe RTH when I lose signal.. But then as soon as I get signal back I take over the control.. I just enjoy the flying part, that's like my favorite part of it all... The video is just a recording of my flight, but the flight is what really makes me happy.. Sweet Keep well and be safe Marcus! 😁🇧🇬🛸

That one is the main reason (the SJRC F11) for me to pass our CAA CofC (remote Pilot Certificate of Competence) Because up until now all drones over 250grams are grounded. Unless you fly outside a 50 metre bubble away from every thing. But again your video is a great reminder for me, just like you I shall struggle to find my way again once we come out of lockdown.

Just found this review by you and was delighted as your reviews are direct to the point and easy to understand. I got my F11 Pro 4K a week or two back and so far think it is the absolute best quad of my collection. The GPS is rock steady in the sky and perfect for good video from the camera, EIS and gimbal combination. I was most interested in the WayPoint feature because I have a perfect application for it out behind my condo over a nice picturesque pond. Your description of the WayPoint feature was quite helpful to me and I have tried a few test runs over that pond. Started out with simple 2-3 point runs just to see how it worked and it worked just fine. I plan to work up to a 7-8 point tour of the pond, which should show pretty good detail. Now for my question … it seems that every demonstration of the F11 WayPoints usually shows the quad parked in the sky while the WayPoints are being programmed into the App. That seems to work ok and is very easy to do with the F11’s great GPS position hold. However, I was wondering if the quad could be launched from the ground directly into a WayPoint pattern. I’m always a bit uncomfortable staring at my phone screen with my quad is just sitting up there on it's own. Is there any way that the quad could be launched direct from the ground into a WayPoint pattern? Again, thank you for all your reviews. They are very much appreciated.

@@IdahoQuadcopter Sorry, it's been kind of a long time to respond to this ... but I forgot where I originally posted this. And yes, it is possible and actually quite simple to set up WayPoints first, then launch the F11 to carry out the program. I like this method much better because it saves battery voltage while you can take your time setting the Waypoints.

I like these. Had my first/worst crash with one... Good times! I had the Ruko version, and Amazon accepted a return with a broken arm, then I has my second crash with the replacement. Happy to report I haven't crashed anything since. Weird how they follow the controller sideways in GPS follow, like a profile mode. The fuselage/body reminds me of N-guage trains. Looks more land based than aeronautical!

I am loving all these cheaper drones you are testing lately. And this one is very impressive for the money. My main issue is the image quality just wasn't quite good enough imo, it's a real shame because they look like they have done 90% of the work to make a good low price drone but fallen just short of good enough, for me anyway. I have seen BOMs for phones and drones and stuff before and the actually sensor and processor is really small part, like $5 or $10 bucks on a good one. I just wish these drone companies would spend that little bit extra on a better sensor, increase the price of the drone by $10-15 but the drone would look $200 extra more.

@@IdahoQuadcopter yeah like I say it's great for the price but I would rather give them an extra $15 and get massively better image quality. Like when you compare your GoPro footage to that drone it's night and day different. Cheap phones and cheap action cams have shown us that you can get very good image quality at very low prices, I've just sadly not seen a really cheap drone that is 'good enough to control smoothly' like this one but then also uses a good sensor, lens, image processor combo to give you close to DJI image quality.

I wish you could slow down the yaw speed when it turns to the next wp. That way it would look more natural, and not so autonomous. Because I love using the wp mode. 🤦

The non functioning GPS follow me, is probably just glitched. You would have to restart the entire drone and recalibrate. It's just a glitch. It's happened to me once or twice.

Big fan of the channel Marcus so no hard feelings if you totally ignore this suggestion but I do feel when you are testing an entirely new drone for the first time the evaluation would benefit from a short conclusion of image quality after you have got home and reviewed it for yourself, maybe show bits you like and bits you don't etc.

Beast is tempermental at start up at times an wind can move around abit Few coworkers asking me about a 200 drone after watching my amateur drone videos This might be another good option. The weather was high winds gusting 20 to 30 mph Did not think we get to fly the drones The beast 3 got stopped got pushed side to side finally dropped down to a hard landing . It perform badly full trottle would not to forward never seem to be in control Felt sorry for guy. The mavic2. Got pushed around as well but kept going foward when asked battery times was poor guess the wind took it. Really impress with my mavic Thanks for replying.
