Guy from Iceland here. Yes this was a legendery concert they (Skálmöld) did with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.

I was at this concert and belive me I have never before or after seen a more epic show I still get goosebumps every time I watch it on YT

Thank you so much for the reaction Dan, really appreciate it. To be fair it was actually The Iceland Symphony Orchestra (Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands) Who asked Skálmöld if they wanted to do a concert together (it was a full 2hr concert, which is all here on KZbin) they actually did two concerts, one in 2013 (were this footage is from) and 2018 but they had 2 or 3 sold out shows in 2013 and 4 sold out shows in 2018. The reason they looked so surprised when the Symphony was playing was because when they rehearsed for the show the person who composed the songs for the symphony told Skálmöld that for this instrumental part they should all turn their back to the audience and let The Symphony play it. The band was skeptical since this part is really important part of this song for their fans and they weren´t sure how the audience would react to it. Little did they know cause the fans loved it and even sung the part with the Symphony which is why they look so surprised 😄 edit. If this is something you would be interested in maybe I should request more songs from this concert? 😊

yeah it was an entire concert. You can find it YT. As far as I can remember the orchestra asked the band to do this show.

one of the better songs from this concert, Loki is better though. I was there nota bene, this was freaking awesome.
