I’m dreaming of a Sublime Archive series with Full Live Shows and Multiple Studio takes like what the Grateful Dead have done

I have to correct Miguel on the origin of Foolish Fool. It's not an "old Jamaican classic". That song was written by Ed Townsend and sung by American R&B and Soul singer Dee Dee Warwick.

Its "foolish fool" by Warwick, brad sang "crazy fool."

@@FeedMeMedia As we know Jamaican artist re-recorded American songs Sublime’s version resembles a take by Cynthia Richards on Trojan Records 🤓

Challenge with any level of subscription model for sublime outtakes what Miguel is getting into here is - it’d get ripped and posted on KZbin and other sites. Not sure how that model would work long term or if it’s been proven by other artists at this point. post it for free - we’d hear it eventually!

The only thing I wish we could see was the last show in Petaluma. It was the absolutely last music Brad left us and I would love to hear it!
@WildWombats2 жыл бұрын
Not even the family has that show from what I heard. Heard the guy who owns it keeps it on a tight leash and wants a huge pay day (hundreds of thousands) before he's going to release it to anyone. May be fact or may not be.

The audio is on KZbin, that would be lovely to see the video footage

As a musician if I died and had unfinished music, I feel it would be totally disrespectful to put it out posthumously. Sublime is done. Stop trying to milk it for more $$ or it will be remembered as such instead of for the groundbreaking music they released. Maybe remaster some of the great live performances they have and release those, but that’s it. Just my two sense as if anyone cares.
