Spoiler: This Skadi is 'possible future' for the present Skadi we know, when she is way too deep to her seaborne's blood, so she evolved, change the environment, and want to turn you into her kin.

It is more that even though this Skadi has been corrupted/assimilated by Seaborne (lovecratian sea monsters) her feelings for the Doktah are still present. It's positive in a sense that even been possess/corrupted/absorbed by a Lovecraftian hivemind monster cannot override her feelings. But it's also a bad thing since that means that Skadi Alter wants to make the Doktah 'her kin' so they can be together forever.

Seaborne's nature, they'll do everything in sake of their kin/the sea

More precisely, Seaborn have an obsession with what they perceive has a bond to them. The event showcase that seaborne reason to be frenetic about the hunter is because they perceive their seaborne nature but mistake it as the seaborne part being trapped within the hunter. So the seaborne relentless pursuit of the hunter is their desire to help and free their own. The anomaly here is that seaborne do not feel much towards normal creature. Skalter feeling are the result of her seaborne nature twisting her feeling and bond into something more. Turning Skadi feeling from "I want to be with the Doctor" into "The Doctor and I have to become one under one kin" Her lines also show that she is also trying to resist the urge (defeat line, where she urges the doctor to run from her as she lose control) But also control part of it, as she makes multiple references to the fact if the Doctor cannot accept her and want to kill her, she won't resist, jeopardising her seaborne survival instinct for the sake of her last partner.

This corrupted heart skadi happen in the future In both possible timelines, it's not a happy ending. One is just worse than the other. She gets infected by the seaborne, an eldritch being. In one timeline she joins Rhodes, but is slowly losing her sanity and clings onto the Doctor as he is the last and only link left to her humanity. She knows she's going insane. She can't even remember the faces of her old friends and family. And just thinking about them is enough to cause her to break them into a sobbing mess. The second timeline is when the seaborne completely takes over and turns her into a yandere for the Doctor. She destroyed Rhodes and everyone there. She can't bring herself to hurt him because of the original Skadi's feelings for him. However she is determined to turn him into one of them
