I live on the Skagit and I've run into Cal Stocking at Holiday Market. Good guide, good guy. I agree with Cal, marabou jigs are enticing for both Pinks and Coho. I tie my own jigs. I prefer cerise marabou for both species, but other colors work, too. Orange will work. Red too. Even purple. I rarely fish a boat, mostly wade. I have had twenty fish days, keeping a daily limit of Pinks, and releasing the rest I also flyfish the Pinks. See ya on the river...

I’m really confused on how Washington gets a bunch of pink salmon in a lot of different rivers but here in Oregon there none except one river that’s owned and operated by natives???

They’re a weird species of salmon, it’s pretty much puget sound, Canada w coast and Alaska. I’d venture to bet it has something to do with the origination of the species

All of the Pinks running into the Puget's Sound rivers are native fish. None are hatchery stocks of fish.
