As for shoes falling apart, rubber will harden if stored in extremely hot and dry places and will become nearly impossible to walk in. Sneakers with a rubber midsole usually age well otherwise. Polyurethane midsoles will fall apart over time so it's a good idea to wear them now and then. Such sneakers include Jordan 4s, 5s, 6s, and 8s. Nike largely replaced polyurethane with phylon in the mid 90s, which is much more durable. Air bubbles themselves tend to become brittle after 15-20 years and can pop and deflate.

Men's shoes are a full size and a half bigger than women's so if you wear a 6 in wmns you're a 4.5 in boys/men's depending on the Jordan and yes on 3's, 4's, 5's, 6's, 7's the midsole will crumble with lack of wear. Hope this helped.

Cute collection! Never put your sneakers in the washing machine. Simply mIix a few drops of Dr. Bronner's Castille soap with water and use a soft bristle brush to clean them. And yes if you store them poorly and don't wear them, the Jordan with the air bubble can deteriorate. When the clear part starts to look cloudy, the sole is likely to crumble on you. To prevent this, it's a good idea to wear them once in while.
