I like the Outdoor Unboxings. Seems like the lighting is great for picking up details on the camera. Also the fall looks asthetically perfect there! Lastly, i think I saw with the Chinese sword, the creature head on the guard is better viewed with the blade facing down. the pointy things at the bottom of it looked like feet and right below the jewel inserts, it looked like the nose of a traditional eastern dragon.

In the research I've done (back in high school, over 10 years ago), it is said that menuki used to be placed under the palms, but as wars died down and the sword's primary purpose went away from battle and more towards showmanship, they placed it on the other side so they can still be visible while being held. Also, it's safer to push the katana out of the saya with your thumb. When there's no tsuba, you use both hands, one on the scabbard, the other on the handle, and push against both thumbs. It's the proper way for unsheathing a shirasaya, still a lot safer than trying to yank it out like that.

That is not katana Is type of heng dao. That design mainly use for special forces for special missions. Heng dao is the father of Japan katana during early Tang dynasty.
