This is a demonstration of the third person view mount that I've been using in a few videos, and an impression of its quality so far.
Pros:
Quality materials, durable construction
Versatile mount for a variety of different cameras
Lightweight, comfortable to wear
Cons:
Relatively high price
The black finish scratches easily

Definitely worth the Es, no matter how you slice it. I was really impressed with the bow shots filmed with it. Very steady, fun to watch and also indicative of shoulder movement which you can't normally see from typical angles

I gotta say it looks very surreal seeing you move around with the camera POV behind you AND following you, but still very interesting and certainly something with a lot of potential for future videos.

To all who are considering buying a 3rd person view mount for your action camera. What I recommend is VuVantage 3rd person backpack mount. Pros: extra light, compact, stable, it goes into backpack so you can take it out anytime and record and believe me walking around with poles like these from Sail is pain in the ass, price. Cons: less angles, sometimes when there is high air resistance the pole can switch a bit too easy... you really have to tighten it up which is a bit problematic cause the tightening system is a bit flawed. To sum up if you want crazy angles and do not care about comfort go for Sail. If you look for comfort, practicality and agility go for VuVantage. Hope it helped.

You found a nice spot for this, love the wilderness up north. Thats a pretty sick setup. You'd think something that long would be pretty heavy, but it doesn't seem to be that bad.

being used to the pricing on high quality movie equipment it gave me a chuckle when you commented on the price as being a bit high. but then again, when you're used to lightbulbs costing 20+ USD then it's not weird that products for the private market comes off as kinda cheap. also, inb4 3rd person swordfights

I am wondering if a camera could be fitted in the gimbal (replacing the rotor) of a large gyroscope. Might act as a stabilizer. Would have to be tightened a bit. I mean base on the weight of the camera, how stiff the allowable movement is would have to change...might need some spring bars to act as resistors for over extension when doing sudden motions.

Hey Skall, I came across a website procuring various Medieval and Renaissance weapons called Manning Imperial. A lot of things they have are quite expensive, but I agree with your sentiment of "you get what you pay for" when it comes to things like this, but do you know much about this seller specifically? I found particularly interesting their Italian swept hilt rapier (ca. 1580-1620 style), sold for $2030.00 USD. Not that I have the money for such a thing. What are your thoughts on a rapier this expensive, and could you find great ones for not quite that much? Thanks, and great video as always.

Hey skall, A little while back I did an experimental short film that involves some sword fighting, with a parallel to addiction. Im curios as to what you think of it as far as the swordfighting is concerned. The way I had my choreographer approach it was a mix of both good looking stuff and also a mix of realistic stuff. Anyways I'd like to hear your thoughts on the film. You can find the link here. (Inner Demons- (Experimental Short Film) CCC Filmaking Club) Btw loved the view from staff experiment video. -Isaiah
