The wiring looks okay….. lmfao yeah I remember high school, had wires all over the place, didn’t care at all, now I’m almost 30 I take pride in not seeing them, just tuck em a lil better and use zip ties, it’ll look a lot cleaner, but other than that good video

Go to the Home Depot and get some roofing tape "insulation" for 16 bucks a roll and do the sound treatment. That stuff is almost like dynamat but so much cheaper.

Vxf would be a downgrade, get a ZVX 15, or 12, they both hit lowww tho

I have a vxf-dv4 and a zvx- dv2 the vxf you can use in a smaller box the 2cu and the zvx needs 3cu ft. They both hit the same to me. My vxf sounds great with my rf 1500bdcp amp. Skar amps are 1ohm stable so make sure if you’re running one sub that it’s a dv2. I’m running my zvx on a sk-2500.1. Still breaking in my zvx but to me personally it beats the same!

It's bad to have your amps on your box sooner or later they will will break from the bass vibration,also I have one zvx18 n my box is 5cubz .your system will slap if u get a box that's 6cubz,also why the heck u have your fuse next to your amp

I have the same set up yet my woofer isn't flexing like that is it because I'm not running a second battery 'optima battery im using a cheap capacitor....or did u drop ur 1 ohm to a .5 ohm

Hey bro nice sub but I had a crescendo bc4k at half ohm sub was seeing about 7k that 2k is tickling but the gain is up a little high I'd back down a bit that amp dont have a clip light turn it down a hair eventually it will fry but that sub has a 8 layer flatwound copper coil it can take abuse other than that beast setup try another 2k on it it would love it

Are you using the full 2,000watts? You’re wired to one ohm (2,000 watts) or two(1,400 watts)?

how much rms wattage are you feeding it? have you put a volt meter on to check? just wondering what I can feed mine and a gain knob means nothing because headunits put out all different voltage

never put a meter on it just have the gain at half knob on the amp and most songs i have the knob up front maxed out. should only be putting out 1000-1500 not really sure but sub doesnt bottom out so its good. tuned by ear mostly. been lasting

@@robertyanez4671 the gain is still dependant on how much pre-out voltage you headunit has. An amp will be more sensitive to 8v rather than 2v. It doesn't make a huge difference, but it's a difference no the less that could possibly cause the amp to clip at different settings

ert wert from my research ya gotta match it to your head unit volume. I have a hu with lower voltage output than most so I compensate by turning the gain up, full gain on 2ohm, ~3/4 with 1 ohm. Half ohm now on 2 zvx 12s around 3/4 gain, no clipping.
