The industry was so dead these guys "interviewed" themselves after the contest, just think about that. Christian's stoned laughing and giggling at the very end is the best. McGill is a dick about that trophy. And Ruff shows Lord of the Flies respect for Cab when he asks him 3 times if its OK for him to have one of his Poison Hotline stickers.

I skated there with Rick Tracy he introduced me and my friends to all of those dudes, and our band American Heritage played there shout outs to anyone who was THERE and remembers it 🌝

I traveled to Cali in Feb 83 and Whittier/Skate City had closed, I could only peer through the fence at the soon to be demolished park. Just like Hosoi and others in the video predicted, only Uplands and Del Mar would be left from the first era of concrete skateparks. At least I got there in time to ride Uplands and Del Mar for two weeks each. The interviews in the parking lot was great to see, just skaters having fun.

Bill Ruff tore The Contest Structure was Similar to that of Pro Football the 8th seed would get the 1rst seed head to head and in some cases there were Rivalries. Tracker Truck riders disliked Indy riders.
