Yea, you know, great videos, really inspirational, but I figured someday one of you guys would eat it hard with all the stuff you do. I think it is irresponsible to gloss over the risks and the very little pro gear you wear and what your risk management decisions are. Charlie paid the price and I would wager he has some permanent issues. Real pros would discuss this responsibly.

+Skankwave My impression is that it's a growing market. Andrew Andras just set a new 24h record with 309 miles and got a fair share of attention for that, there are now at least 3-4 manufacturers of land paddles, people have been skating across all of the continents, and several boardbrands offer boards designed for the purpose. Also, longboarding is old enough that those who started it now are in their 40's and 50's and find ways to skate without too much risk involved. I would like to make videos about it myself, but 1: I don't know shit about filmmaking and 2: I live in a country where there's snow at the moment.

+Joshua Lindsay From Charlie's AMA on Reddit: "What happened is- we were in Italy skating a out-of-the way mountain run, somewhere outside of Milan I believe. I was going around a left sweeper a little too fast when my wheels gave out and I slide under a guardrail on my back. My chin under my full-face helmet caught the guardrail cutting my chin severely. Also during the impact my bottom teeth collided with my top teeth breaking all four of the teeth in front. Luckily Dillon was behind me watching the whole thing and stopped to see if I was okay. I wasn't. He waved down a local to call 911 and a helicopter eventually arrived airlifting me to the nearest hospital. So there it is. It was unfortunate, but I'm really glad that Dillon and everybody was there to help me out. Also shouts out Italy for their ballin' healthcare system."
