It was a great contest in Shanghai, with Japanese protégé Onodera Ginwoo and veteran Chris Joslin stepping onto the podium, but it was the Jagger Eaton show as the American took home top spot to finish in the top three for both street and park! That wraps up this stop of the Olympic Qualifier Series but stay tuned for the next edition in Budapest from June 20-23!

Is there a plan to switch up the coverage model for when the actual Olympics are going on? I could not find reliable information on when this event was happening, where to watch it or a broadcast of the full event at all. This highlights video wasn’t even available until 2 days after the event, and by then it was all over who had won the event so not really a point in watching it

Y'all Hatin on Jagger. Yuto beat him fair and square at X Games. He's not losing to JinWoo and Joslin NEVER wins but he always shines. That BS Flip 5-0 down the 9 definitely beats a blunt to varial. He flipped and 180'd BEFORE the grind.... If he didn't do that one trick he loses. He 180'd into a 50-50 in his run 🤯 Y'all are hating

Wrong, skaters get docked from repetition. You can't just do front blunts, back tails and front boards and expect to win an Olympic event. He's still too young and hasn't developed his trick selection yet.

This is a perfect example of what’s wrong with contest skating. Ginwoo and Joslin couldn’t be more different in terms of style (it’s practically a different sport). And yet, someone still has to make a determination as to who is “better”.

nah dude, ginwoo cant do switch tricks, jagger is a more complete skater, even Joslin is, maybe Ginwoo will be better in a near future, but not by now. If you analyse Ginwoo´s tricks, he did variations of the same trick, front blunt to flip out, front blunt to big flip out, he always do the same, front board bigflip, bs tail shove out, and similar combinations, just a variation of the same trick...

@@95mcqueen5 Judging the difficulty of tricks is a bit subjective, I personally think that a SW FS blunt, for example, is more difficult than an FS blunt kickflip out, but let's leave that to the judges. In SLS if you do combinations of repetitive tricks you get penalized for example.
