Amazing how there's still such a strong sense of motion even in the segments at the start/end where the character is essentially staying in the centre of the frame with no moving background or perspective to portray movement

Yeah it was originally 24fps. I used quicktime to export the footage into an image sequence at 12fps. I manually imported every frame into sketchbook to draw the images. Then composited it using after effects.

Fyi, this one minutes twenty one seconds length video contains millions of frames and time consuming (estimated took 1 week to be made) so you guys can enjoy it as a final product like it is. Because based on my experience Rotoscoping wasn't an easy peasy method at the first place. Salute! nicely done animation 👍🏼

1. It's rotoscoped, which means he traced real footage, which is why the movements and perspective are so real. 2. Literally any animation program can do this, you could even display the video on an ipad and trace it on real paper if you're more traditional. 3.Probably because it's the simplest way to trace the footage while maintaining clarity. Or maybe it makes sense in the grand scheme of the feature film mentioned in the description. It's also quick. So they can animate more, quicker. 4. No idea
