In my early 20's and finally started skateboarding I wish I could be one of those high school skateboarders but at the same time the minute my foot stepped on the board I just love the feeling I can't stop wanting to use it even sitting down which kinda takes away those thoughts. Also my favourite movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" the main character is in his 40's learning to live life including skateboarding. My main philosophy in life is anyone can learn anything if they work hard, there maybe talent but it's also achieved with practice.

I am 49. I've often heard from younger skateboarders that if you can't do this and that then you're not a real skateboarder. I think anyone who says such things doesn't know anything about skateboarding. I don't give a damn F what the pompous bigots say. If you can confidently push and cruise around, you're already skateboarding. To have fun, ride the way you like and the way it makes you happy, regardless of what others think - that's what skateboarding is all about, and that's what it's always been about. Peace!

Also skating in my 30s and feeling it. Creatine for muscle soreness helped, as well as just trying new things to rediscover the fun of skateboarding has helped me rekindle my love of skating

27 and already relate to that. I noticed that eating well, especially a banana before a sess, works wonders.

You just showed that you can still skateboard. Maybe not as well as you did when you were younger, but cmon. There is always gonna be someone better than you. Just keep doing it if you enjoy it.
