I’d say BMX is harder it’s definitely more intimidating and dangerous. They go faster, higher, and do flips and flip variations you don’t need that much logic to realize doing a backflip - double - whip is far more dangerous and hard than flipping your board around. The falls on a bike are much worse as a majority of the time it’s not the ground you gotta worry about, but the bike with its metal tubes and sharp ass points and it’s not easy to get away from the bike. Skate falls 90% of the time they easily just kick their boards away and land on their feet it’s like a parkour fall. I mean seriously are there any skaters who have been paralyzed from skating cause I can name several BMXers who have been just off the top of my head.

I'd say Skate is harder to master but BMX is easier to learn, I'm a fan of both. I agree with you that BMX is more dangerous, as you mentioned you have pegs, peddles and sprockets to worry about with falls that can pearce the skin and just damage in general, but also a bike is just heavier than a board, so it takes more effort to control. I guess with Skating it takes more muscle memory to remember how fast and hard to flick the board to get full rotations. Also with Skating you're more sustainable to foot injuries, of course other body parts too but the lower half is more common, where as BMX you can injur pretty much anything.

I love both, I grew up watching skateboarding but I grew up riding scooters 🤣 BMX is more similar to scooters than skating is, so I have a soft spot for BMX in that regard, but skateboarding is more enjoyable to watch personally. If I were to start riding again it would be BMX no doubt.

Skateboarding has more diverse tricks and it keeps doing something new..sure BMX can easily gap and jump over stuff easier unlike what skateboards can hardly do but i think it always looks satisfying whenever someone lands a gnarly trick on a skateboard after hundreds or even thousands of bails compared to a gnarly BMX trick. 🤔 idk but for me i think Skateboard is just more open to anything..you can literally do anything to it. I think the way BMX bike is built itself kept it from doing way more things to it's own sport. No hate on bmx community i'm just comparing the BMX itself and a Skateboard.
