SKATEBOARDING WITH RUBBER GRIPTAPE?!

This grip is amazing. I bought some from DKL Skateboarding and although it's kind of hard to apply, it's awesome if you want to save your shoes. The only thing you'll have to do routinely is taking a wet rag and wiping the dust off the grip. I skate in any shoes I want now and no holes!!

You need to use new shoes that are not already worn down by sand paper grip tape cause it works with the rubber and texture of your shoes

i've beenusing it for around 6 months now, and it's really good. the only thing is that it does peel up sometimes and the grip eventually rubs off. but by that time you'll get a new deck. I don't plan on going back to sandpaper anytime soon

Get skater trainers and only put it on one wheel so the board still moves around but just not as much. Worked for me on ollies, kickflips and 180s so far👍✌

It's all down to practice there is no magic solution that will make you immediately perfect the trick you just need to practice

Hey sam, next time when you are taking off grip tape from a skateboard, try heating the grip tape up before ripping it off. This way it melts the stickiness under the grip tape, which makes it easier to take off. Loved the vid!😀👌🔥

Yeah I’ve been using this grip tape too and I ended up just using a little glue on my tail and it’s been fine and I haven’t had any peeling

1. It works better with newer shoes 2. Wipe it down with damp rag to maintain grip - less dust 3. Use a file to shave off edges

I'm still on the beginning stages of skateboarding and rubber griptape is all I use. I doesn't make sense to go through shoes for just practicing ollies and basic stuff. Once I get at a decent level I'll switch to sand. Now this Braille grip has a different texture than DKL so it would be interesting to try.

Been using this grip for about a year it’s pretty good you just need to sand the edges a lot and maybe cut the grip a little shorter than usual and if it starts peeling up jus cut the price with a razor and sand it down after

I used this stuff for almost a year and it's great. The only downsides are after maybe 4 months it loses grip and it makes tricks much harder ( I rode it everyday though for around 3 hours) and if you don't stay on top of it it'll start to peel and come off. I made the mistake in the last few months to cut a design into it and the peeled like crazy. But if you skate it for a couple of months and get a new board and replace it it's great and it really does save your shoes.

After skating this grip for a year, and saving tons of shoes... I'm going to back to standard grip. As I started to progress and get better again, I noticed I was never confident landing or having the grip I've had in the past from 20 years of skateboarding. I really hope it continues to get better and better, but if it gets dusty or wet, it flat out gets dangerous.

I’d be interested to see if there’s a major disadvantage if there is some moisture on your feet. While a normal sandpaper grip would soak up any droplets of water it seems like the rubber grip could hold the moisture on top and be super slippery

I used the grip for about 4 months and it was good at first but the grip goes away in about 2 months and it becomes hard to even do 180s without my feet slipping off. Also it comes up on the sides.

I bought one sheet of these and I didn't like it at all. The first few days it feels fine but it loses its grip super fast. By the second week of skating it, it feels super slippery. Also, if a little bit of dust gets on the grip, it doesn't grip at all. So you have to constantly wipe off the grip if you skate in dusty spots. If you are into double flip variations, this grip can really be a pain in the ass. Bowl skating also feels super inconsistent on this grip because you don't feel as connected to your board when you are rolling fast and pumping. The only pros I see to this grip (other than saving your shoes of course) are grabs. If you like doing big grabs and tweaking them or doing fingerflips and bonelesses, you will really like how the grip feels on your hands. But personally I won't buy this again. Too slippery and it affected most of my tricks negatively.

I honestly use what’s in front of me or most convenient, which is always Jessup grip because it’s at the warehouse. I also like changing my shoes every once in a while, I’m never really concerned with ripping them up in the first place. So because of that, I don’t think I’m the target audience for the product, but I didn’t notice a huge difference and if you wanna save your shoes, this is the way to go

Here’s a tip to get old grip off your board grab a hair dryer put it in the hottest setting then hover it over the grip for 5 minutes it will melt the glue on the grip tape and make it easier to peel off
