Gino is one of my all time favorites and I was born in 95. My generation doesn’t appreciate this guy the way older skaters do. The style, the trick selection, and just his demeanor make him one of the greats. Awesome interview. I just found the channel and these are great.

@@marooqi he drowned in a pool during a July 4th party.
@mattmolloy6367 ай бұрын
@@marooqidude died 7/4/99 the way it was explained in this video. No one has actual fact, but we know he mixed blow and liquor after having organ removal/ failures, and he somehow wound up in the bottom of the pool dead. Maybe he was too blasted and tripped in while stumbling around and subsequently drowned due to the lack of control he had over his body? Perhaps he went in the pool of his own volition and the taxing rollercoaster of substances on his weak system combined with the strenuous exercise of swimming gave him something like a heart attack? I could keep going, and everything I’ve said here is all speculative and very morbid to think of, but I too grew up first starting skating in the early 2000’s after he died hearing the rumor dump backwards and the jacuzzi rumor was definitely in play back then. Remember too that he also could have had preexisting conditions or genetic predispositions where what a normal healthy average body could handle simply couldn’t be tolerated by his. But with that in mind he managed to skate on an amazingly high level when you look at him versus everyone else on Chocolate with him from 94-99, and listening to these podcasts it seems like the brand really died until they recruited Marc Johnson and Gino got his act together for Yeah Right, and Kenny Anderson should be included too (but🖕🏻Justin Eldridge, him being put on in the first place ((not to mention the bs conditions it happened under)) should have never went down, and that’s a hill I’m comfortable dying on)

Bro, I see you but relax. It's episode two and if you know anything about Gino, he's not a big talker. Lee will get better and his point of view of skateboarding is a breath of fresh air considering most skate stories come from LA crews. The Nine Club went through similar struggles and now look at them.

I'm relaxed :) I kown Gino doesnt like to talk to cameras and stuf. And, in fact, this is a puff of fresh air to skate. Cheers Lee!
