@benmcreynolds85817 ай бұрын
That's a great idea. Burnside as a whole has made such an important impact on skateboardinging history. It tripped me out growing up skating in my hometown 1 ½ hr drive south of Portland.. Then once I was In my late 20's almost 30, I got to meet Red and skate with him. He is such a rad dude. He's now the dude that builds Dreamland skateparks.. It all started from someone seeing his talent and hard work with his DIY work at Burnside. *still trips me out to this day because I grew up playing THPS on N64 & never thought I'd interact with someone who played such a role when it comes to Burnside & now many other skateparks across the world

There are two more tricks not listed here but understandable. It was from a local found footage/throwback footage type video I edited called What Goes Around Comes Around based out of Tampa bay. So dude named Max (don't know his last name) nollie heeled the 4 block and David Perry did a line with a 5050 down a barrier rail that was being held up by TJ Sparks down the 5 block. /watch?v=u4yHHuRkzCM The 5050 is at 14:59 and the Nollie Heel is at 20:33

This channel is boss. When it comes to skating/skaters, it has the minerals. That 5 block looks a 16-18 if it was a full stair instead of a 2set? Skating has risen to levels I wouldn't have thought possible in 87 when I started. Thoroughly addicted, fused-into and possessed with is how I live. The lifestyle, the first thing after waking look to see if it's dry. Mood hanging in the suspense. Like I said: boss channel.

As an ATLien I’m glad the story of how dangerous this spot could be in the early 00’s was included. Every clip you see pre-2012 was before this area was a gentrified. What I’m saying is sometimes you feared what you might encounter more than failing whatever you were planning to try down this spot. These days? It’s like a stroll in Whole Foods but still plenty of distractions depending on the day.

This is the best one so far. The fight you took footage of? The story of the dudes getting beaten up and robbed there with a generator at night? WTF. Daltons bs 360 down the big 5 was nuts. I remember seeing him in Forthekrew mags doing 20 stair rails over a decade edit:(ago) Jamie Thomas is a fool for sleeping on him and Kanaan too long, someones gotta say it. Get it together chief. Actually the universe is getting the Dern bros recognition regardless now, don't even need him anymore lol. Pedro started coming up bigtime after he took that gnarly slam. Reggies ollie to the street with no ramp is in a league of its own. Reynolds just chillin and talking about tricks was amazing to see. Im 42 so I love to see these vids. My friends used to skate the 4 block in the early 2000s. 42, the answer to life. Im so grateful for all the work you put into this one, another Dern video in the books and the best one to date.
