She's so pretty, she has a gorgeous face, nice eyes, and you can actually SEE that she is a nice sould, someone I could talk to if I met her on the street ! Her smile is so damn infectious, she's keeping it real, and she's portrayed an amazing character in SKAM. I'm not a Muslim, I'm not even Norwegian (I'm French), and yet I feel like she's done a tremendous job portraying a true character with its flaws and its good sides. Thank you so much Iman, you're terrific !

I'm so happy. Because of Sana, a lot of people out there had opened their mind about muslims. She also gives me a personal strength to always proud to wearing my hijab (and I'm even living in country that have muslim majority).

I feel like this actress is so honest and portrayed the real struggle of being a muslim and a hijabi.

@- norway will become a muslim country with in 5 years and there is nothing you can do about it if you have a problem with it then you can piss off to somewhere else i bet you have never said everything you just wrote to anyone in the real world whats the matter you got bullied by a couple of muslim boys in school? if so then man up and deal with it instead of whining on the internet

kdN that is exactly the problem. Islam is a religion of peace and has been portrayed negatively by the media and corrupt governments. There is extremism in every religion and belief, including Buddhist monks slaughtering innocent people, the KKK, and the fact that the VAST majority of terrorist attacks in America are because of right wing extremism. Islamic terrorism ya sheen disproportionately highlighted in the media so the American people will support military combat in forgein countries like Iraq. America has gained so much financially by starting wars in the Middle East.
@abey48274 жыл бұрын
kdN I would also like to point out all the “war” in Muslim countries are countries who conveniently have oil or resources. The wars start with America and corrupt governments. For example, take Indonesia or turkey who are thriving, because they have stable governments and America has no need for its resourves. Islam is not the cause of wars. In fact in Islam we have rules when it comes to war. We aren’t allowed to kill innocent people (killing one innocent would be as if you killed all of humanity), weren’t not allowed to harm wildlife, we can’t kill people who surrender or who are unarmed, we can’t kill civilians etc. And in Islam forced marriage is forbidden. Islam teaches us about intentions. If you don’t want to go into the marriage, it isn’t even valid in God’s eyes. Also, if you’re forced to wear hijab it isn’t valid in God’s eyes. If you give charity to show off, it isn’t valid in God’s eyes. Islam is the only religion where simply smiling is an act of charity. How is this a violent religion? In Islam there’s a Hadith that says “the best of you are good to their wives”, it is haram to beat your wife. In Islam, the wife is given an allowance from the husbands salary that she can use to spend on anything she wishes. Even if she works, she is still entitled to the allowance from the husband. This is all done to protect women. Tell me how is Islam oppressive to women???
@abey48274 жыл бұрын
kdN and in referral to the harsh punishments, again it’s about intention. For example if a thief stole because he had no money, he wouldn’t be punished.

the scene where she was debating with isak is my most favorite. i'm a muslim and even though i grew up in a muslim majority country i feel like i can understand what muslims like sana had to go through, but at the same time we got to look from isak's point of view. the best thing to understanding a problem is to look at it from different perspectives and skam did that perfectly❤

She's doing førstegangstjeneste/verneplikt (one year in the military). It is mandatory for young men and young women in Norway to come in and be considered for one year of service. Some are then called in to do military training, and some are sent to other tasks for the military for the year. And previously, women weren't called in at all, but the law was changed in 2015 to include women. A lot of people skip or postpone it because of studies etc, though. Iman seems to really want to do it, though.
