This version is much better. Thank you for taking out the background music.❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Simeon and Kora, I found this to be one of the clearest and helpful demo's/explanations for the contra-check. The initial rolling-in of the knee and hip twist with the standing leg makes a world of difference ! - thank you so much!

Thanks for the clear instruction on syllabus cross the ballroom dancing and I just realized that it's the signature pose of the Ballroom dancing.

It’s great to see such accomplished dancers explaining in detail how to do this step and more importantly what to avoid doing. This explanation will make it far more efficient and avoid injury to both dancers.

Love your videos, would it be possible to do a video on the left whisk and especially how to differentiate from other similar moves like the throwaway overstay oe hover Corte. Thanks Dave
@SKDancesport4 жыл бұрын
Yes! We definitely have the Left Whisk on our list of videos "to do", so it will be coming up, probably before summer! 😀

Love this explanation. But do you also have tips on back check? It's basically contracheck man steps for woman, woman steps for man. But in the upper section there's quite the difference. Would love to see you explain the differences in shape and lead

That's a great suggestion! We'll add it to our list. 😁

Another awesome video. Thank you Kora and Simeon. Really helps improve my dancing. Question on foot position. For both the leader and follower, the foot that is moving, does it cross the track of the other foot when going into the contra check?
@SKDancesport5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And that's a great question. Your answer is... YES! ABSOLUTELY! In fact, that's precisely why it's called a "Contra Check", because the left foot for man and right foot for lady is placed in Contra Body Movement Position, or CBMP, which means that the moving foot is placed "on or across the line" of the standing foot. Without that foot crossing the track of the other foot, it just wouldn't be a Contra Check! :)
