I've gone through a lot of versions of things I don't eat or smoke, as my eating and smoking habits have changed, but in the end it just comes off preachy no matter what. At some point I put the sound effects in as a placeholder, but then I grew to really like saying that I don't eat a sound effect. Adds to the mixture of forcefulness and silliness that this song is all about.

They're Audio Technica Quiet Points, $130 on Amazon. Their main selling point is that they have great noise canceling, which is a useless feature indoors, but I do a lot of walking on busy streets, so I was really happy when I upgraded a year and a half ago. Still in great condition.

Some parts of the lyrics go back literally a decade to when I was a vegetarian. "I don't eat xxx". Redacted for honesty. The beat took maybe 2 hours, before and after taping. I added the chimes in after I recorded the video.

This one has been going on repeat each time I have logged in to youtube. That's a huge compliment meaning I give you just as much credit as Fiona Apple, Philip Glass and Muse I ignore the fact that I could have made this beat cause you have such great way of flavouring the lines with melody (I have the norwegian word for it, but it isn't translatable).
