This totally made me feel better (and not more confident my theory): Jod's turning against the kids was not what it seems. At the end of the episode, as I was initially sad and mad at his turn, I went back and re-watched the last scene. When he stood there thinking, it was if something clicked in his mind, and came up with a plan. I am admittedly biased and an optimist, but now I'm thinking that scenario sets up a much, much bigger payoff than if he just did in fact turn on the gang.

The big question in swimming in my head at the end of the episode is, how long ago did that ship crash on At Attin and did no one noticed when it did?
@jeffs609016 сағат бұрын
It was buried under several feet of dirt with a full grown forest on it. That would mean over a hundred years at least, I would assume. Though, that doesn't seem to match up. 🤷♂️

My predictions: 1) Jod was once a Jedi padawan yet he dropped out before Order 66 2) Supervisor is in fact the imperial remnants who are in need of constant supply of the old republic mint to fund their secret operations
@kingbooomer923115 сағат бұрын
I think the Supervisor no longer exists, and is simply ran by droids to maintain their instructions for eternity. Until At Attin is discovered by the New Republic and covertly usurped by the Sith Eternal through the Banking Clans
@kopskey115 сағат бұрын
2 is possible, but unlikely. let's say you had access to a bottomless supply of old currency. Well you'd need to go to and from the planet to bring in new, raw supplies to mint it, Do that without anyone on the planet noticing, and spend those exceptionally rare and valuable coins without anyone wondering "Hey, why do you have a bottomless supply?" People will catch on, and your game is finished.

I’ve got a theory regarding The Skeleton Crew show that I want to throw out there. I think that Captain Rennod is still alive and hiding on At Attin. In fact, I think he’s the one they refer to as “the Supervisor.”

That Old Republic money is like the old currency ppl collect here on Earth. Its worth way more then the current currency. Here's some fun Six Degrees connections for this episode. Jude Law is friends and former roommates with Johnny Lee Miller and Obi-Wan himself, Ewan McGregor. Both Miller and McGregor were in Trainspotting and Trainspotting 2 and with the great Kelly MacDonald, aka Pokkit, from this episode. Jude and Kelly were also in Anna Karenina together. Now Jude, Kelly, Ewan need to get Johnny Lee Miller into Star Wars ASAP lol

@6:25. Now you are getting it. Skeleton Crew was the first step into the eventual Rebranding of The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. ( Disney is done with Depp, no way do they keep a ride, that was defaced and replaced with animatronics of him throughout? The show literally re-created more than a few of iconic images from the ride. Imagine Sm-33 as the Narrator on the ride and it really falls into place. If it isn't, it is a wasted opportunity to keep Galaxies Edge relevant.
@davehillard159117 сағат бұрын
You mentioned it, but the line "Your focus determines your reality." Seems to indicate Jod learned this from the Jedi. Probably as a youngling. And yes, even taken as a child, he could remember how his home smelled... or, when he was rescued by Quinlan Vos, his adopted planet could have smelled bad. And, he became a pirate in direct contradiction to the Jedi. So, as he was never fully trained, he is not a jedi.

There's something abstractly more horrifying about someone saying I'M stuck in a TV but I don't know so please don't tell me than THEY'RE stuck in a TV. I believe they are setting up Luke Skywalker to face off against Jod Na Nawood. 1. Jod is a force user. 2. He has a freaking lightsaber, and what is anyone gonna do against that. 3. It will be a battle between Jedi philosophies. This is not just a story that has vibes of 80s, 90s, Spielberg, Goonies, E.T., Stranger Things, POTC, and Treasure Planet/Treasure Island too but it's mostly inspired and has elements focused on Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan. Jod is the Peter Pan and Captain Hook in this story. He won't grow up and move on from his past. He'll do anything to get it back. It's not just about the money it is about retrieving what he lost because he's mentioned he's a lost child in episode 3 and was a huge hint about him of what he once had. While Luke is the new and better established Jedi than the Jedi of the prequel era. His new Jedi Order has love in it now, and it's not devoid of emotions or disregarding like what the Jedi Council was teaching the Order in the Prequel Trilogy and The Clone Wars show. He's made peace with his past that he's the son of Darth Vader and has overcome the Dark Side. He now spreads Hope.

I know that real age and character age can be completely different. Just seems to make sense to me, especially seeing as Mando, Ahsoka, SC are all meant to taking place around the same time heading towards a shared future
